The Daily Mail has reported that Ben Whishaw (Mary Poppins Returns) is preparing to to portray Marilyn Monroe in a new play opening in New York City this spring.

'Be Our Guest!'  Disney's Beauty and the Beast, The Broadway Musical will run at Patchogue Theatre from December 14th through December 30th and will be produced and presented by The Gateway.

Conductor Jeremie Rhorer returns to Theatre des Champs-Elysees today, November 28, through December 9, 2018, conducting a new production of Verdi's La traviata, directed by Deborah Warner, and using Verdi's original tuning. Rhorer will conduct Le Cercle de l'Harmonie, the period-instrument ensemble dedicated to music of the 18th and 19th centuries, which he founded in 2005.

Ahead of the public ballot for tickets opening on Thursday 22 November, the National Theatre have released the image for When We Have Sufficiently Tortured Each Other, a new play by Martin Crimp, directed by Katie Mitchell, with a cast including Cate Blanchett, who makes her National Theatre debut alongside Stephen Dillane returning to the National Theatre for the first time since The Coast of Utopia in 2002. The National Theatre has today announced its new season

With the world premiere double-bill of Nick Dear's Hogarth's Progress currently playing at Rose Theatre Kingston as part of its 10th anniversary season, the company today announces its Spring 2019 season. This will be the first season presented in the venue's newly reconfigured auditorium, with developments taking place in January 2019 following a capital fundraising programme.

The National Theatre is inviting primary schools looking for inspiration for their end of term play to take part in its Let's Play programme. Let's Play provides everything that teachers need to create an outstanding piece of theatre and inspire creative learning across the curriculum.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced casting for the Winter Season 2018, its plans for a year-long cycle of history plays from February 2019, and Globe Associates, to include Sean Holmes, who is to become Associate Artistic Director.

The Magik Theatre will present three shows at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre (226 N. St. Mary's St.) in its 2018-2019 Season. The Magik Theatre has produced shows at the venue since spring 2015, and historically has presented two shows a year, one during the holidays and one in the summer months. Broadway is back in the park!
