Today, it was announced that the acclaimed Broadway musical Girl from the North Country will play its final performance at The Belasco Theatre on January 23, 2022, following 31 previews and 117 regular performances.

The Broadway cast of Girl From The North Country recently celebrated their 2022 Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album and the holiday season with 1067LiteFM's Christine Nagy. The cast got together to spread some holiday cheer with an outdoor performance of 'Winter Wonderland.'

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Girl From the North Country was among the nominees for the 2022 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.

The Girl From the North Country has released a new video featuring members of the cast discussing the importance of Thanksgiving.

The National Theatre has today announced that Kate Varah has been appointed as Executive Director. Currently Executive Director of The Old Vic, a role she has held since 2015, Kate will join Director and Chief Executive Rufus Norris to lead the National Theatre, from Spring 2022 succeeding Lisa Burger.

The cast of Girl From The North Country appeared on Good Morning America this morning to perform a medley of Bob Dylan classics, including 'Hurricane', 'License to Kill', and 'Slow Train'.

Colin Bates will be joining the cast in the role of Gene Laine. Additionally, Alex Joseph Grayson, Housso Semon, Edward Staudenmayer, and Anastasia Talley will be joining the company as swings.

The eagerly-awaited Girl From The North Country - Original Broadway Cast Recording, is now available for purchase and stream. The album was released by Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.

Girl From The North Country's Original Broadway Cast Recording is on the way! The album will be available in Digital and CD formats on Friday, August 20. Girl From The North Country, written and directed by Conor McPherson, boldly reimagines the songs of Bob Dylan in provocative new dramatic contexts.

As the theatre works to rebuild and reopen after more than a year of closure, it is hoped that this match funding initiative will incentivise those passionate about theatre's ability to educate and inspire to play a vital part in our recovery through buying a Membership.

Today, on Bob Dylan's birthday, it was announced that Girl From The North Country will resume performances on Broadway on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Conor McPherson reimagines the songs of the legendary Bob Dylan in Girl From The North Country - the new musical about the dreams we keep close, the people we hold dear, and the place we call home.  

The Old Vic has also announced the appointment of Yasmin Ibison as the second Lambeth Baylis Trustee, a role created in 2019 to include younger, local voices on the Board of Trustees.

Today, The Old Vic and Shoreditch Town Hall announce this year's Old Vic 12 – a group of writers, producers, directors  and creatives who, since March, have been working together digitally and in person, in line with social distancing, to  create three new pieces of work.  

Last night a brand new music video for 'Tight Connection To My Heart,' from Girl From The North Country was released as part of Harlem Week's Virtual Music Festival.

The original cast album to the Broadway musical Girl From The North Country will be released this spring by Sony Music/Legacy Recordings.

The producers of Girl From The North Country announced today that beginning with the show's first preview, Friday, February 7, a limited quantity of $39 tickets will be available via both rush and a digital lottery for each performance.

It was announced today that Matt McGrath (Cabaret, A Streetcar Named Desire) will join the Broadway production of the hit musical Girl from the North Country in the role of Reverend Marlowe. McGrath replaces David Pittu who has left the production due to a scheduling conflict.

Girl from the North Country begins performances on Friday, February 7 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street) with the opening night set for Thursday, March 5. Check out photos of the marquee!

Today, on World Kindness Day, The Old Vic announces a new partnership with a national literacy charity that works to provide high-quality one-to-one support to disadvantaged children. The Old Vic will work with Coram Beanstalk through staff volunteering, a potential reading scheme in the new Annex, and the charity will benefit from The Old Vic's bucket collections throughout A Christmas Carol 2019.
