The Bret Adams and Paul Reisch Foundation has announced the recipients of their special COVID-19 response grants for playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists who have had a full professional production cancelled, closed, or indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 closures.

On September 24th, the newly formed Bret Adams & Paul Reisch Foundation honored Obie Award-winning Caught playwright Christopher Chen as the recipient of the inaugural Ollie Award. Flip through photos of the celebration at The Players Club below. 

Hot after the announcement of Shuga Pie Supreme's queer-inclusive Cymbeline, a series of cast departures left the future of the project in question. Miraculously, at the eleventh hour, the remaining cast and creative team decided to devise a new rendition of the play.  

Directed by Charles Quittner, Cymbeline the inaugural production of Shuga Pie Supreme, co-founded by Charles Quittner and Anne Ciarlone. The play runs August 20th, 21st, and 26th at The Brick as part of their Shakespeare in the Theater Festival.

The Riant Theatre (Van Dirk Fisher, Artistic Director) -- the Audelco Award-winning nonprofit providing a nurturing developmental environment for playwrights and theatre creators of diverse cultural backgrounds -- proudly announces THE STRAWBERRY ONE-ACT FESTIVAL 2017 - THE SERIES.  The reality competition series' first eight episodes, featuring the 31 short plays that were staged during the festival's 30th Season (presented Off-Broadway at the Theatre at St. Clement's July 13th - July 30th, 2017) are now available for viewing online. The Riant Theatre's 30th Annual Strawberry One-Act Festival has announced the finalists of the 2017 summer one-act play competition.

The Riant Theatre - the Audelco Award-winning nonprofit providing a nurturing developmental environment for playwrights and theatre creators of diverse cultural backgrounds - presents THE STRAWBERRY ONE-ACT FESTIVAL. A celebration of cultural diversity, THE STRAWBERRY ONE-ACT FESTIVAL will be presented at the Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues, NYC) beginning today, July 13th. The festival will continue through Sunday, July 30th, 2017.
