Kitchen Theatre Company Announces 2019-2020 Season

Kitchen Theatre Company, Central New York's Off Broadway theatre, announces its 2019-20 season: seven exciting productions that explore what it means to be part of a family, and finding both our inner and outer strength. This season begins with a Broadway hit and finishes with an energetic, engaging world premiere. The Kitchen Theatre's 29th season runs from September 8th, 2019 to June 21st, 2020. The Kitchen Theatre Company Presents Nina Raine's Award-Winning Play TRIBES

 Next up at the Kitchen Theatre Company is Tribes by Nina Raine, an atypical family drama that examines the power of communication within the dynamics of a British hearing family with a deaf son. Performances of Tribes begin at the Kitchen Theatre Company in the Percy Browning Performance Space on June 2nd and run through June 23rd. Opening night is Thursday, June 6th.

59E59 Announces Upcoming Summer Season

59E59 Theaters announces the lineup of shows for the 2019 Summer Season at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Ticket prices range from $15 - $70 ($12 - $49 for 59E59 Members).

Kitchen Theatre Hosts Live HOLIDAY MATCH GAME

Kitchen Theatre Company (KTC) will deck the halls with laughter as Ithaca-famous celebrities take the stage for the Live KTC Holiday Match Game,  hosted by Kitchen Theatre favorite actor Karl Gregory. The party will include nice food, naughty drinks, live music, an ugly sweater contest, and a seat at the show. Join the fun two nights only: December 16 at 5:00 PM & December 17 at 7:00 PM.

Kitchen Theatre Company, Central New York's Off Broadway theatre, announces its 2018-19 season: seven exciting productions that fit perfectly with the Kitchen's mission to create bold theatre in our intimate space that engages community and sparks important conversations. Beginning with an indie rock musical and ending with a story about a deaf man's struggle to find his place in his family and the world, the season includes comedies, dramas with timely and historical themes, and even a thriller. The season runs from September 9th to June 23rd. Single tickets and subscriptions are on sale now!  

Kitchen Theatre Company Dazzles, Delights, And Raises Dollars With LIP SINK

On March 24, 2018, Kitchen Theatre Company (KTC) presented its first ever Lip Sink Spring Fundraiser. Celebrating M. Bevin O'Gara's first season as Producing Artistic Director at KTC, the evening brought the community together in support of the theatre. Teams of performers chose songs to lip sync and dance to, and fundraised on behalf of the theatre, culminating in an incredible show, delighting the audience of KTC supporters. The event was hosted by longtime Kitchen Theatre actor and local favorite Karl Gregory. The fundraising celebration featured an open bar, buffet, and a dance party (DJ Gibran).

Rachel Lampert Honored for Lifetime Achievement at the 2017 SALT Awards

Kitchen Theatre Company is thrilled to announce that Artistic Director Emerita Rachel Lampert was honored with the Syracuse Area Live Theater (SALT) Lifetime Achievement Award at 2017 Ceremony, held November 5th at Syracuse Stage. The SALT Award program recognizes exemplary and outstanding performances in Professional and Non-Professional theater in Central New York.

Kitchen Theatre Company, Central New York's Off Broadway theatre, announces its 2017-2018 season. This is the first season for incoming Producing Artistic Director, M. Bevin O'Gara, who will be joining longtime Managing Director, Stephen Nunley. Kitchen TheatreCompany is known for its intimate 99-seat space, now owned by the theatre, and for the bold, intimate, engaging work it has produced for over 25 years. The 27th season will include seven plays aimed at starting 'important conversations,' presented from September to June.

Kitchen Theatre Company Raises Over $190,000 to 'Burn the Mortgage'

Kitchen Theatre Company's Board of Directors honored retiring Artistic Director Rachel Lampert with an appropriately theatrical ceremony in which the building's mortgage was 'burned.' In attendance were community members and representatives of organizations who donated to the over $190,000 Burn the Mortgage campaign.

Kitchen Theatre Company Announces its 26th Season

 Kitchen Theatre Company's 2016-17 season marks the start of the theater's second quarter century. From the world premiere of Wendy Dann's Birds of East Africa to the hilarious encore production of Precious Nonsense, it promises to be one to remember. Darian Dauchan's Death Boogie showcases his mastery of multi-character solo work, accompanied by live musicians on bass and violin. It is a hip hop musical that is part performance, part concert and all Darian. Clean Alternatives by Brian Dykstra was ahead of the curve when first produced, with its focus on the environment and our shared responsibility to ensure a sustainable planet. Alexander Thomas' Throw Pitchfork is a brilliantly performed solo performance by one of KTC's favorite actors.Sex With Strangers by Laura Eason explores the high-powered, cutthroat world of publishing and two passionate writers' relationship to fame and to each other. Opening the season is the irreverent, buckle-your-seat-belts, Tony-nominated Hand To God by Robert Askins.
