This Christmas get your fill of family fun with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the King's Theatre before getting your teeth into the true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in the West End phenomenon Jersey Boys, making its Glasgow debut at the Theatre Royal.

Award-winning playwright David Ireland (Can't Forget About You, Everything Between Us) has turned his hand to writing our panto script this year, and with our trusted director/designer Kenny Miller at the helm, SLEEPING BETTY promises to be a hoot, filled with all the usual Glesga patter, hilarious slapstick and general nonsense.

In her current show at the Metropolitan Room, It's Personal, Baby Jane Dexter once again reaches beyond the footlights and embraces her idolaters as only she can. In doing so, she makes them cry, laugh out loud, and view life with a different slant. After all these years, she's still packing them in and raising the bar. Her gravitas and strong self-belief make for an exciting and unique hour of cabaret. Dexter's joy at giving is evident throughout this new show. Serious minded but never preachy, this is an artist enjoying herself as much as her audience is.

Librettist/Lyricist Michael Colby will bring a concert adaptation of his well-received memoir, THE ALGONQUIN KID: ADVENTURES GROWING UP IN NEW YORK'S LEGENDARY HOTEL to Winter Rhythms at Urban Stages, 259 West 30th Street, NY 10001 on Dec. 13th at 2:00pm.

Lynn University and Producer Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, are launching the popular Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret at Lincoln Center comes to Live at Lynn Series early next year. From January through May five of Manhattan's leading cabaret headliners will appear in concert in Lynn's Amarnick-Goldstein Concert Hall.

The show runs tonight, October 28, and November 4 & 7, 2015.

The Mabel Mercer  Foundation returned to The Town Hall last night for the first of 4 different concerts and BroadwayWorld will be there for all. Here are some photos from the opening night. 2015 is the twenty-sixth annual New York Cabaret Convention.

Actors T. Oliver Reid, Analisa Leaming, and Jennifer Fouche will be the featured performers at this year's Broadway Blessing, taking place on Monday, September 28 at 7:00 pm in the landmark Church of the Transfiguration (commonly known as "The Little Church").

Joined by acclaimed jazz pianist Jon Weber, Farr will perform songs from her concerts Pure Imagination, Whistling Away The Dark and Broadway Classics, as well as from her present show, In The Still Of The Night.

Vocalist Gary Crawford burst onto the New York cabaret scene like a "thunderbolt" in October 2014 with his debut show 'In Love With Love' at the Metropolitan Room. With the veteran Music Director and Arranger Maestro Barry Levitt at the piano, Crawford produced a captivating show that earned him rave reviews from BroadwayWorld.com and Cabaret Scenes Magazine and ultimately a 2014 Manhattan Association of Cabaret & Clubs Award (MAC) for "Best Male Vocal Debut." (Crawford had already performed a "CD Release" show of 'In Love With Love' at the Metropolitan Room that April). After spending the past year and a half performing as a guest singer in variety shows throughout city at venues such as Iridium, Birdland, Don't Tell Mama, and Urban Stages, Crawford has again teamed up with Levitt for a new show, this one featuring songs composed by Levitt himself. Crawford will star in Secret Dreams: Gary Crawford Sings The Barry Levitt Songbook at the Metropolitan Room on September 2 at 7 pm. The show will feature the Barry Levitt Quartet, including Jon Burr on bass, Ray Marchica on drums, and Jack Cavari on guitar, as well as special guest vocalists.

Starting in January 2016, five of Manhattan's leading cabaret headliners will appear in concert in Lynn's Amarnick-Goldstein Concert Hall.

For the first time in 15 years, cabaret star Julie Reyburn brings back her award-winning show, Fate Is Kind, to a New York nightclub stage when she performs the classic at the Metropolitan Room on Monday, September 14 at 7 pm as part of the new monthly series, New York Cabaret's Greatest Hits, produced by Stephen Hanks' Cabaret Life Productions with cabaret supporter Fr. Jeffrey Hamblin, MD as Associate Producer. [Reyburn's show will follow the Series launch on August 26 at 7 pm with Mark Nadler's critically acclaimed Tschaikowsky (And Other Russians), which won a 2003 Bistro Award.] Reyburn and her celebrated Musical Director Mark Janas (Producer of the Award-Winning Open-Mic show Salon) introduced Fate Is Kind in February 2000 at The Singer's Forum as a benefit cabaret for their scholarship program. It then moved to Judy's Chelsea in March 2000 for its official cabaret debut, and the show ran off and on there for most of the year. Fate Is Kind world earn Reyburn MAC and Bistro Awards in 2001 for "Outstanding Female Cabaret Debut."

NiCori Studios and Productions in association with the Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment of the monthly concert series, Music at the Mansion, on Sunday, July 26, at 3pm.
