The sumptuously talented Leanne Borghesi returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with her all-new comedic show, BDSM (Beautiful Dirty Sexy Me) for two performances only - Friday, August 5 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, August 6 (8 p.m.).

For the first time in the 15-year history of the Royal Room, the world famous cabaret will not close at the end of "season" but will continue offering extraordinary entertainers straight-through the summer months with dinner shows every Friday and Saturday night.

 Irvington Town Hall Theater in association with NiCori Studios and Productions announces the finale Cabaret on the Hudson for the 2015/2016 season on Sunday, April 10 at 3pm. Cabaret on the Hudson is a series that features outstanding cabaret performers, each bringing a 25 minute sampling of their New York City cabaret shows to Westchester, NY. Many of the performers are Broadway veterans and have performed in New York City venues such as 54 BELOW, the Oak Room at the Algonquin, Birdland, Feinstein's at Loews Regency, Iridium, the Metropolitan Room and Jazz at Lincoln Center to name a few. Cabaret on the Hudson will be hosted by multi-nominated Cabaret singer and host of the Music at the Mansion series, Corinna Sowers Adler and will feature James Horan on piano.  

A two-time MAC Award winner, Tony nominee, and recipient of a Drama Desk Lifetime Achievement Award, Charles Busch just visited the exquisite Appel Room for an intimate evening of song and stories. The actor, playwright (Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife), novelist, screenwriter, director, and drag legend has happily added 'vaudevillian' to the list over the past years.

 Lynn University and Producer Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, are presenting three more concerts under the umbrella of the Live at Lynn series and the Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret at Lincoln Center.

On Saturday night, before the Stage Q production of 'Psycho Beach Party', I got the opportunity to chat with 'Psycho Beach Party' playwright Charles Busch and his cabaret partner/pianist Tom Judson about their Sunday evening show in downtown Madison as well as Charles' history as a playwright and performer.

Still Game favourite Jane McCarry will star in the brand new production of Mum's The Word 2. The comedy actress will join an all-star cast including Libby McArthur (River City), Suzie McGuire (former Radio Clyde presenter), Lorraine McIntosh (Deacon Blue) and Julie Wilson Nimmo (Balamory). The Scottish tour commences at the King's Theatre Glasgow from Tuesday 26 until Saturday 30 January.

Any visit to the Baldwin Theatre in Royal Oak is a treat, but the fantastic production now on stage, MARY POPPINS will blow you away. This show is super! [cali, etc.] Stagecrafters have made this show a delight from the very moment you walk into the room; here you will see a Mary Poppins Christmas tree, with ornaments of kites, crowned by a signature nanny hat. Of course, just walking into the theatre gives a sense of majesty with that beautiful English Wedgwood blue and gilded gold all around. The show is a holiday treat; it has great tunes, great costumes and sets, a wonderful plot, and lots of magic.

Birdland was abuzz this past Thursday night in celebration of Barbara Fasano's fresh-off-the-press CD, Busy Being Free. Industry types table-hopped among civilians--they know a good thing when they hear it--as anticipation swelled. Gift wrapped in tapestry blue, Fasano was accompanied by three of the six excellent musicians on her recording: Musical Director/Pianist/Arranger John di Martino, with Boris Koslov on bass, and Vince Cherico on drums.
