This month The Ellen Theatre presents a line-up of classic Disney movies the entire family will enjoy. The Little Mermaid screens Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2 PM, telling the story of a mermaid princess named Ariel who falls in love with a handsome prince who lives on land. To be with the man she loves, Ariel must make a life-changing decision or continue life underwater with her friends and family. The Little Mermaid features songs written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman and won two Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song (a?oeUnder the Seaa??).

Today, the UK-born, Paris-based artist ALA.NI announced her sophomore album ACCA, with videos for the first two singles “Differently” and “Sha La La.” ACCA — which is to be released in early 2020 — consists primarily of dense, harmonically intricate vocal arrangements with sparse or no instrumental backing at all. 

Broadway's Golden Age of Theatre comes alive next month when New York's Feinstein's/54 Below presents legendary two-time Tony Award winning actor John Cullum in his first ever one man show, John Cullum: An Accidental Star.  Performances will be Sept. 2 nd and Sept. 4th through 7th, at the 254 W. 54th St. supper club, each night at 7.

Lynn University and Jan McArt, producer and director of theatre arts program development, today announced that the popular Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret at Lincoln Center Comes to Live at Lynn series will return in 2020 on five Wednesdays from January through May. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of five Honorees who will receive the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements.

The Emmy-nominated former writer for The Rosie O'Donnell Show will be bringing his one-man comedy show to the FAC tonight. This is Rudetsky's first major appearance in Colorado.

The musical Mary Poppins is currently playing at the Elbe Stage-Theatre in Hamburg. The show is based on the 1934 published novel about the famous nanny, created by Pamela L. Travers. Mary Poppins gained worldwide recognition through the 1964 movie with Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke. In 1993, Cameron Mackintosh could convince Pamela L. Travers to take her novel to the stage.
