Portsmouth Theatres has announced a world-class creative team for its 2025 pantomime season at the Theatre Royal and Kings Theatre, featuring two major new appointments: multi-award-winning director Michael Strassen and Olivier Award-nominated choreographer Mark Smith.

Grant Urquhart - of First Dates fame - has joined the cast of The Kings Theatre's upcoming pantomime, to star as the handsome Prince Charming. Urquhart, who stars as a charming senior waiter on Channel 4’s hit show, will be showcasing his talents in this year’s production of Cinderella, alongside ‘Search for Cinders’ winner Michelle Antrobus.
As part of its ongoing commitment to make the theatre available and affordable to everybody, The Kings Theatre has released 16,500 seats for the Christmas pantomime “Cinderella” at just £10 each and this comes in addition to the launch of The Kings Theatre Arts Academy and a £25,000 Scholarship Scheme.
The Kings Theatre Portsmouth has announced that TV personality Amy Hart, is joining the cast of their 2021 Christmas pantomime, making her professional on-stage debut. Amy will play the role of Princess Jill in the Theatre's traditional family pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.
