Annie is a charming classic musical at the Dolby Theatre through May 18th.  This touring production of Annie has a fantastic cast, iconic songs, and a soaring optimism and pure-heartedness that feel rejuvenating.

Annie is a heartfelt, faithful revival and a timeless message of hope. The red-haired orphan and her cast of outcasts left the audience smiling and on its feet, proving once more that “The sun’ll come out tomorrow”

As we anticipate welcoming the beloved musical ANNIE to Austin, I had the pleasure to  ask Julia Nicole Hunter, who portrays Grace Farrell in the current production, a few questions about her experience working on the show. A Nashville native now based in New York City, Hunter brings warmth and depth to the character of Oliver Warbucks' compassionate assistant.

It's an age-old showbiz adage—never work with children or animals. But here that advice is thrown out as the luminaries of the show are a plucky pixie adorned with bright red hair accompanied by a lovable shaggy labradoodle. Hey, in a season of uncertainty, a little schmaltz is appreciated.

Harris Center for The Arts will present the Tony Award-Winning musical ANNIE, performing six times, February 14-16, with three evening performances at 6:30pm, and three matinees at 1:30pm.
