The cast has been announced for the UK tour of the stage adaptation of Floella Benjamin’s much-loved and award-winning book, Coming to England. This vibrant and energetic new play with music from Nicoll Entertainment and MAST Mayflower Studios tells Floella’s personal story of moving to England in the 1960s at the age of 10.

This follows A Strange Loop, the Pulitzer Prize-winning new musical direct from Broadway with performances until 9 September and includes a world premiere from Belarus Free Theatre, UK premieres by Why Not Theatre, Eun-Me Ahn, Pam Tanowitz and David Lang, a cross-cultural festival curated by Inua Ellams, the return of Dance Umbrella andTold by an Idiot, and a line-up of exciting and experimental theatre makers in The Pit.
From the award winning writer and actor Julene Robinson (The Witcher, Netflix; Stand Up, Get Up!, London West End) and Fringe First award winning producer Emma Blackman comes The Night Woman - a powerful show about womanhood, blackness and healing. Starring Robinson, directed by Martina Laird (Sunshine, Southwark Playhouse), with Lighting Design by Chuma Emembolu (For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When The Hue Gets Too Heavy, New Diorama Theatre), this striking play about finding strength in the darkest moments has never felt more crucial than in these times of pandemic and BLM.

The West End production of Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical, which opened last week at the Lyric Theatre, has extended its booking period until 18th September 2022. Hailed as a major cultural event the landmark production about Bob Marley's life began performances at the Lyric at the start of the month.
With unlimited access to Marley's magical, revolutionary songs and a book by award-winning Lee Hall, acclaimed director Clint Dyer channels the creative quest and spiritual power of a universally embraced icon. The production brings a dynamic company of performers, led by Arinzé Kene as Bob Marley, that fuse with the finest reggae musicians to bring this exhilarating story of struggle, freedom and transformation from Trenchtown to the West End.
