What do you do when rents rise astronomically?

Broadway came to Natick last night as the Jewish Arts Collaborative presented SETH RUDETSKY & JUDY KUHN: A BROADWAY CABARET AND CONVERSATION at The Center for Arts in Natick (TCAN). As promised by JCA Artistic Director Joey Baron in his introduction, the evening was fun (with a capital "F") as these two veterans of the Great White Way regaled the sold-out house with backstage stories, Rudetsky's masterful musicianship, and Kuhn's gorgeous vocalizing from her considerable musical theatre canon.

Indecent, the newest work by Pulitzer Prize-winner Paula Vogel (HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE), opened just last night, April 18 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues). Acclaimed Karen Carpenter sound-alike and look-alike Sally Olson will appear in concert on Saturday, April 29 at 9:30 pm at the famed Triad Theatre on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The show will include signature covers and hits by the Carpenters, such as 'We've Only Just Begun,' '(They Long To Be) Close To You,' 'Rainy Days and Mondays,' 'Superstar,' and more.

Songs in the Key of Equality is proudly teaming up again with Swish Ally Fund for a night of inspirational performances by Broadway and NYC cabaret performers. This annual event will be held on Monday, April 3 at 8 p.m. at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City.

Lincoln Center Theater's production of How to Transcend a Happy Marriage opened last night at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65th Street). At a dinner party in the wilds of New Jersey, two married couples discuss a younger acquaintance - a polyamorous woman who also hunts her own meat. Fascinated, they invite this mysterious woman and her two live-in boyfriends to a New Year's Eve party, which alters the course of their lives.

Signature Theatre's world premiere production of Mrs. Miller Does Her Thing, written and directed by Pulitzer Prize winner James Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods), based on the real-life story of Elva Miller, a middle-aged housewife who gained notoriety as an unlikely pop phenomenon in the 1960s for her warbling renditions of chart topping hits 'Downtown,' 'Monday, Monday,' 'A Hard Day's Night,' and more, runs tonight, February 28, through March 26 in Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre.

Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere production of Midwestern Gothic. Midwestern Gothic will run March 14 - April 30 in Signature Theatre's ARK Theatre.

The Geffen Playhouse today announced the full cast for its production of Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Long Day's Journey Into Night, directed by Jeanie Hackett.
