BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Amanda McBroom in her new show “Crimes of the Heart” on Monday, May 2 at 7:00 PM. McBroom’s concert will feature songs of passion, politics, and just plain love, written by the likes of Stephen Sondheim, Irving Berlin, Leonard Cohen, and of course, Amanda McBroom.

Philadelphia cabaret performer Tyler Houchins has announced his upcoming debut performance at Don't Tell Mama NYC, titled Down A Yellow Brick Road, celebrating the 100th birthday of the legendary actress and vocalist Judy Garland, June 10, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

 Milwaukee Rep will present an Artists Lounge Live Production of Get Happy: Angela Ingersoll Sings Judy Garland in the Stackner Cabaret May 5 – July 1, 2022.  As seen on PBS in an Emmy Award-nominated performance, Angela Ingersoll celebrates Judy Garland live in concert backed by a dynamite band featuring virtuosic vocals, passionate storytelling, humor and heart. 

Coming soon from the vocal impressionist and internet sensation Debbie Wileman, will be a new album titled I’m Still Here, featuring songs of the legendary Judy Garland and hits Garland would sing if she were still with us today – from Adele to Lady Gaga, The Beatles, and more. Actress and musical entertainer Nancy Hays and her daughter Mary Heffernan will perform a special Mother's Day Concert on Saturday, May 7th and Sunday, May 8th, presenting songs from the famed 'Live at the London Palladium' concert which featured Judy Garland on stage with her own 18 year-old daughter - Liza Minnelli, in November of 1964.

We're off to see the wizard.... that is the wizards in Conway who have built up this fantastic program for the youth in their community. Since COVID has loosened its grip on the theatre world, The Red Curtain Theatre has been filling up their roster in minutes of posting signups for whatever workshop they are working on, this newest one being THE WIZARD OF OZ: YOUTH ADDITION. Produced by Co-founder Kristen Dickerson and directed by Savannah Kirkdoffer, this abbreviated version of the classic hits all the highlights of the production without overextending the young performers. To mark the announcement she has shared the title track, “Car Therapy,” and its companion video directed by Sean Valdivieso and edited by hbaCreate. The video gives a window into the incredible recording process that took place at Spacebomb Studios. The orchestra was headed by Trey Pollard who was responsible for both conducting and arranging.

Seth Sikes, one of New York's most exciting and acclaimed nightclub performers, will return to London in a concert that will salute his idol, Judy Garland, during her 100th birthday year.  

The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented to the team of Isabella Dawis & Tidtaya Sinutoke by Heidi Blickenstaff and Julia Murney on Monday May 2nd from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony at Bond 45. T

Musical theater was introduced to me when I saw my oldest sister Jenna in her high school production of Meet Me in St. Louis during her freshman year when I was in third grade. I never watched something so intensely and I thought to myself “I want to be on that stage.”
