On Tuesday, December 18, during Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's (AAADT) annual New York season at City Center, the Company will honor Masazumi Chaya, its esteemed associate artistic director, for his 35 years with the Company.
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will celebrate the opening of its annual season at New York City Center on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 with a Gala celebration, hosted by Artistic Director Judith Jamison. One of the City's largest and most successful fund-raisers, Hip Hop Impresario Russell Simmons is this year's Honorary Chair. This year's gala will feature two pieces danced to live music.
