Today, Grammy-nominated producer, singer-songwriter, musician Terrace Martin shares a brand new album, Terrace Martin's Gray Area - Live at the JammJam, with one of a kind live performances featuring an array of today's top stars in jazz, hip-hop and more, like Kamasi Washington, Ben Wendel, Ronald Bruner Jr., Maurice 'Mobetta' Brown, Paul Cornish, and Joshua Crumbly. The collection was recorded live in-the-round with a full audience at one of Jammcard's trademark events, the JammJam. ULISES OTERO of MIAMI, FL from NEW WORLD SCHOOL OF THE ARTS and UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, has been named a 2020 National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) Finalist in Theatre, the organization's highest honor. Otero has been recognized for his artistic achievement and joins 686 of the nation's most accomplished artists in the visual, literary, and performing arts.

Catarina de Luca Figueiredo of Miami, Florida from New World School of the Arts has been named a 2020 National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) Finalist in Theater, the organization's highest honor. De Luca Figueiredo has been recognized for her artistic achievement and was selected by an esteemed discipline-specific panel of artists through a rigorous blind adjudication process. YoungArts award winners gain access to one of the most prestigious programs for emerging artists in the United States in which they will have opportunities for creative and professional development throughout their entire careers. The world-renowned Hotel Café in Los Angeles will host musician, songwriter Jason Goldstein, backed by a full band, on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 8:00 pm. Accompanying him will be Josh Teitelbaum on drums, Alex Kyhn on bass, Nicholas Monahan on guitar, Lilli Passero and Alicia Blue on backup vocals.

Jammcard has finally released the long awaited video from their JammJam at Capitol Records featuring Ty Dolla $ign. The video features his musical director, Mike Moore, on drums, as well as keyboardist Philip Cornish who has gained major attention as of late for musical directing Kanye West's Sunday Service.

A whole lot of rhythm was goin' down at Live House in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 9, at the 'George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic JammJam' presented by Jammcard. George Clinton, the man who invented P-funk, was in attendance to witness stellar roof-tearing performances by some of his best-known acolytes including Ice Cube, Anderson .Paak, CeeLo Green, Eddie Griffin, Battlecat plus members of the original Parliament Funkadelic. Clinton testified, 'They had me crying like a bitch with tears of joy.'

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) congratulates the 55th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, with special acknowledgement to the 20 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts who are YoungArts winners. The U.S. Presidential Scholars award one of the nation's highest honors for high school students who exemplify academic excellence is presented on behalf of the President of the United States and honors up to 161 graduating high school seniors of high potential each year. The U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts (full list below) were nominated by YoungArts to The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars and selected based on academic and artistic excellence, leadership qualities and community service. For students who would like to be considered for this outstanding honor in the future, the YoungArts application opens on June 4, 2019 at youngarts.org/apply.

The Shed, New York City's new arts center dedicated to commissioning, develops, and presents original works of art, across all disciplines, for all audiences, will open to the public on April 5 with the world premiere of Soundtrack of America. The five-night concert series, conceived and directed by Steve McQueen with a creative team led by Quincy Jones and Maureen Mahon, celebrates the unrivaled impact of African American music on contemporary culture with performances by a new generation of artists. A free live stream of the April 5 concert will be available on The Shed's website, TheShed.org, and its social media channels.

The world famous Troubadour in Los Angeles will host the Donny Hathaway Live Tribute this Friday March 15th at 9 p.m. An incredible group of musicians and singers will come together to perform the music featured on the classic album 'Donny Hathaway Live' which was released in 1972. Long considered one of the best live albums ever recorded, the songs are taken from a performance originally given by Donny Hathaway at the Troubadour back in 1971.

Event based theatrical distribution company, Hydro Studios announced today that they are collaborating Sun and Moon Films to distribute the music documentary BALI: BEATS OF PARADISE. Directed and produced by Livi Zheng and featuring Judith Hill,the original documentary pulls back the curtain on Gamelan music and Nyoman Wenten - a celebrated Indonesian composer who sets out to pay homage to the sacred but shrinking tradition of Balinese music and dance, Gamelan, in his home country. Gamelan has been used in the film Avatar by James Cameron, the TV show Star Trek as well as the Nintendo game Mario Bros.

One of the foremost American composers of his era, pianist Billy Childs embodies a unique blend of jazz and classical music. The multi-GRAMMY Award winner's groundbreaking project merges improvisation and jazz rhythms with the orchestration and instrumentation of a traditional chamber ensemble.
