On a very chilly Tuesday night, Fiddler on the Roof opened and warmed the hearts of the enthusiastic audience at the Fabulous Fox.  This Broadway revival was full of new energy and more emotion than expected with this beloved classic.

Based on Sholem Aleichem's series of short stories about Tevye the Dairyman, Fiddler on the Roof centers on Tevye, a poor milkman who lives in pre-revolutionary Russia with his wife and five daughters. Among the traditions in their little village of Anatevka, the matchmaker arranges a match between a boy and a girl, and the father must approve the arranged marriage. However, Tevye must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three eldest daughters who wish to marry for love and outside influences of the Tsar who intrude upon his village.

Broadway at the Marcus Center and Broadway Across America-Milwaukee present the Milwaukee engagement of the Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts from February 12-17, 2019. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF opened at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton on November 27 and will continue to run through December 2. The production is a unique combination of a joyous celebration and a moving masterpiece that has undeniable appeal.

It is Bo's hard-learned lesson about romance and respect that keeps BUS STOP in the forefront as one of the great classic American romance stories. And thanks to the talented cast and director Ann Hearn Tobolowsky's attention to detail and effective use of freeze framing cast members while others speak, these well known characters will reach out and grab you by the heart, stirring your emotions as lessons are learned, partnerships are formed, and everyone gets exactly what they want by the time the road re-opens, especially a naive cowboy and a 19-year old hick singer from the Ozarks determined to make a better life for herself.

The US national tour of the classic musical Fiddler on the Roof has begun its short preview run at the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse, New York, kicking off the Famous Artists Broadway Theater Series: Broadway in Syracuse. The opening night performance of this familiar favorite was beautifully performed, highly emotional, and showcased some incredible talent.
