This week ArtsBridge announced the nominees for the 10th Anniversary Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards. 38 public and private schools from throughout the state were nominated in 17 categories. The awards show is the culmination of a year-long professional development program and will showcase the next generation of Georgia's musical theatre talent. Presented by the Georgia Lottery, the awards show will air on Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) over its nine-station statewide television network live from Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on April 19, 2018 from 7-9 pm.

When Kory Caudill began making plans to record his second album, he knew the focus had to be on one of his strongest passions - his home state of Kentucky and specifically the area surrounding his Prestonsburg roots. The aptly titled Song for Appalachia EP features six songs old and new and was produced by Sean Truskowski and Caudill.

Now in its 23rd season, Dusk Dances will return to Withrow Park from August 7 to 13th, with five original dance works created by some of Canada's leading choreographers: Gadfly'sOfilio Sinbadinho, Rhodnie De?sir, Sashar Zarif, Company 605's Dana Gingras, and BoucharDanse's Sylvie Bouchard. The Grove Theatre is excited to announce an Evening of Comedy* with Pauly Shore, and featuring Steve Simeone, on Saturday, September 24th at 8:00 pm.  Comic Josh Martin will open the night. Pauly Shore tasted super-stardom in 1990 when his precedent-setting MTV show 'Totally Pauly' hit the airwaves with major fan approval.  The show ran for six years, leading him to roles on numerous television and film shows, including the one-hour HBO television special, 'Pauly Does Dallas.' DanceWorks, Toronto's longest running contemporary dance series, presents the Toronto premiere of Vital Few, a new work from Vancouver's acclaimed Company 605 that pushes the highly dynamic company into new physical territory.
