URBAN STAGE's annual Winter Rhythms cabaret series has announced the full run-down of shows and acts to play in the 2022 season

Other Lives: The Story Songs of Michael Colby, a mélange of melody and tour de force performances featuring lyrics by Michael Colby, will be presented as part of Urban Stages 2022 “Winter Rhythms” series, produced by Tom Toce and Sue Matsuki, on Sunday, December 11 at 3pm and Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 7pm at Urban Stages Theater 

Three-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone has added an additional concert on January 1 at 8pm to her previously announced 15-show engagement at 54 Below. This performance will also be livestreamed.

After years of working the musical theater stage, Hugh Panaro tries out the small venue stage, and it's a perfect fit.

Prediction:  for the next few days, everyone will be talking about Hugh Panaro and his mesmerizing solo concert debut here in New York City, at 54 Below.  What took so long? Who Knows.  But that doesn’t matter anymore because his two-day run on October 5th and 6th is totally sold out, which means he’ll be back and, surely, be exporting this all over the country, to London, Canada, and Australia, where audiences love exactly what he is giving them- BROADWAY, and plenty of it, but through the singular lens of his career.

Ann Kittredge will return to The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street – between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Sunday, October 23rd at 7pm with her Musical Director Christopher Denny (piano), Sean Harkness (guitar), Mary Ann McSweeney (bass), Rex Benincasa(drums) and special guests Robbie Kondor and Steve Ross.

Hugh Panaro will be bringing his first-ever New York City solo concert to 54 Below next month. The gifted singer has performed in London’s West End, in Canada and on concert stages across the globe, including touring with Barbra Streisand throughout Europe and, now, he’s bringing it all home to 54 Below.

Patti LuPone has extended her run at 54 Below and will be performing January 2-8 in addition to the previously announced¾ and sold out¾ December shows.

The New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant), will star Luba Mason and Caesar Samayoa.

On Monday, May 9 at 7:30pm two-time Tony and Olivier Award winner Patti LuPone will return to the Vivian Beaumont Theater to sing SONGS FROM A HAT, a concert to support Lincoln Center Theater’s productions and education programs. 

Brainstorm Records announces the April 23rd release of Vocalist Maureen Taylor’s recording: Maureen Taylor: Cosmic Connections – The Lyrics of Michael Colby. The collaboration between Taylor and Colby will feature nineteen Colby songs. The album will be available for streaming and purchase on all the major music outlets (as well as a limited number of CDs for purchase at the release party).

BroadwayWorld reviews Brian Stokes Mitchell's glorious concert at the Lesher Center in Walnut Creek on February 25th. Keen Company has announced its first musical commission: a new musical by Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days, Scotland, PA). Keen presented Gwon’s Ordinary Days in Fall of 2018 to great acclaim, including a nomination for the 2019 Drama League Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical (Broadway or Off-Broadway).
