The American Theatre Guild, the largest not-for-profit touring Broadway presenter in the nation, has unveiled its highly anticipated 2022–2023 Season for The Buddy Holly Hall. The Season will start off with big news as the number of Broadway show performances increases from two to three due to popular demand.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT PRODUCTIONS, now in its 22nd year, continues to celebrate the oft-neglected one-act play and theatre at its best with award-winning actors, writers and directors in tremendously fun productions set for their 2022 Season Opener on March 28th.

J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company announced the company, along with photos from the first day of rehearsal, for the organization’s third production of its 2022 season, Stephen Schwartz (music and lyrics) and Joseph Stein’s (book) celebrated musical The Baker’s Wife, based on the film La Femme de Boulanger by Marcel Pagnol and Jean Giono. 

Broadway in Omaha's resident matchmaker found the perfect fit for Omaha audiences in the current hit Broadway tour of 'Fiddler on the Roof.' Featuring music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and a book by Joseph Stein, 'Fiddler on the Roof' is based on a series of short stories written by Sohlem Aleichem and follows family man Tevye as he navigates his three eldest daughter's search for true love in a time when matchmakers arranged the marriages and marrying for love was unheard of. This story of love, loss, and the most beautiful of traditions has found wild success not only on stage but on the big screen. It first opened on Broadway in 1964 and swept the Tonys with nine awards including one for best musical. It was followed shortly thereafter by a movie adaptation in 1971, which received eight Academy Award nominations. It's a family favorite for many, and it's become a musical standard for most of those in the musical theatre community.

J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company will kick off their exciting  second season with the the Linda Kline and Lonny Price (book) and Edward Kleban (music and lyrics) Tony Award-nominated musical A Class Act this Thursday, February 10  at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). 

On Sunday, March 20, 2022, Encompass New Opera Theatre, The Board of Trustees and The Encompass Honorary Gala Chairs, Sheldon Harnick and Maury Yeston will pay tribute to Legendary Theatrical Icon and Tony Award-winning luminaries, CHITA RIVERA and DANNY BURSTEIN, with a star-studded musical salute.

J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company today announced the creative teams for the organization’s 2022 three musical second season lineup: A Class Act, A Day in Hollywood / A Night in the Ukraine, and The Baker’s Wife.

Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International announced the total revenue collectively raised by theatres across the globe from MTI’s All Together Now! - A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre. 

The three productions will be Windfall (May 31–June 19), a new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander; Anna in the Tropics (June 28–July 24) the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Nilo Cruz, directed by Marcos Santana; and Ragtime (August 2–28), with music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Terrence McNally, directed by Will Pomerantz.

CAPA and Broadway in Columbus are proud to present the Columbus engagement of the Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof at the Palace Theatre (34 W. Broad St.) December 14-19 as part of the 2021-22 Broadway in Columbus season.

Whether it's a memory of seeing a middle school performance in an orchestra classroom like yours truly, watching the movie for a class, or starring as Tevye in your high school’s production, you would be hard-pressed to find someone who has no connection to the musical. And for cast members in the current National Tour like Jack O’Brien, that means being received by audiences like an old friend.

A beloved theatrical classic from Tony-winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, this critically acclaimed production is directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher (To Kill a Mockingbird, South Pacific, The King and I) and choreographed by the acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter. 

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF will stop in Jacksonville on the North American tour. The beloved theatrical masterpiece from Tony winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick will be at the Times-Union Center, November 2-7, 2021.
