The following acts are performing at City Winery Chicago (1200 W. Randolph St) throughout the month.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of four Honorees who will receive the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, and a special Honors distinction for a work of art and its co-creators. Recipients to be honored at the 41st annual national celebration of the arts are: singer and actress Cher, composer and pianist Philip Glass, Country music entertainer Reba McEntire, and jazz saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter. This year, the co-creators of Hamilton-writer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail, choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, and music director Alex Lacamoire-will receive a unique Kennedy Center Honors as trailblazing creators of a transformative work that defies category.

Franklin Stage Company will present a weekend packed with music and laughter, starting with a performance by NY cabaret sensation Julian Fleisher and His Rather Big Band on Friday, August 3rd at 7:30pm. A Saturday afternoon show follows at 2:00pm for Circus Minimus, a one-man circus in a suitcase, written and performed by Kevin O'Keefe. Saturday August 4th at 7:30m Fleisher takes the stage again, followed by an encore performance of Circus Minimus on Sunday Aug 5 at 3:00pm.

Raue Center For The Arts is excited to welcome nationally known singer-songwriter and Crystal Lake native Megon McDonough to the stage with "Dedicated to the Ones I Love: Great Women Singers of the '50s, '60s and '70s." This show will honor the greatest women singers of a generation at 8 p.m. on August 24, 2018.

The Carlyle announces the Cafe Carlyle's fall 2018 season, which features the venue debut of singers/actresses Jane Lynch & Kate Flannery; as well as the return of audience favorites Alexa Ray Joel, Herb Alpert & Lani Hall, Rita Wilson, John Pizzarelli & Jessica Molaskey, and Steve Tyrell.

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has come on board as a co-producer and investor of brand new Elvis Presley stage musical HEARTBREAK HOTEL.

Tokyo Police Club has announced their first full-length album in four years, TPC, for an October 5 release on Dine Alone Records – premiering both sides of a double A-side single, “Hercules” via Billboard and “DLTFWYH” via Paste, this week, prior to its release today.  Additionally the Ontario quartet has expanded their fall North American tour (see below).

Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter and five-time Grammy Award winner Michael McDonald is set for the October 12 release of Season of Peace: The Christmas Collection on BMG. The album compiles McDonald's most beloved Christmas recordings including “White Christmas/Winter Wonderland” (feat. Jonny Lang), “Oh Holy Night,” “Christmas on the Bayou” and “Children Go Where I Send Thee” (feat. getTV invites music fans of all ages to spend Sunday evenings this summer with one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, having sold more than 90 million records worldwide, Mr. Johnny Cash.  Known as “The Man in Black,” his TV series, which debuted in 1969 and ran for two seasons, featured high profile guest stars representing every style of popular music of the day. This summer, getTV will air episodes of “The Johnny Cash Show,” which haven't been shown on TV in decades, beginning July 8 at 10PM ET/9C.
