Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre is set to stage its most eco-friendly season of shows yet. A meadow of native grasses will be planted in a ring around the theatre’s central performance area to create a living, moving set within which to stage this year’s three productions.
Rehearsing via zoom and then on the Storyhouse thrust stage and then outdoors in the park, productions of Merry Wives of Windsor, Pride and Prejudice and The Jungle Book open on Saturday 29 May and run until Sunday 30 August.

The Opera has had to postpone the piano workshop of its first commissioned opera, The Secret River, and will now launch the Opera on the Town series with the world premiere of Death of Ivan Ilych in partnership with Thompson Street Opera Company.

The nominees for the 2020 Canadian Screen Awards were announced today in 141 film, television, and digital media categories by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (the Canadian Academy). The Awards will be presented in Toronto over five days during Canadian Screen Week, including the Canadian Screen Awards Broadcast Gala, which airs live on CBC and the CBC Gem streaming service on Sunday, March 29 at 8:00 PM (9:00 PM AT/9:30 PM NT).

I'd never heard of the riot before but when I found out what had happened, and more importantly why it had happened, there were so many themes that still rung true to Mold and North Wales today that I was both excited and scared of opening that massive, sensitive and political door.
The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa's Department of Theatre + Dance and Kennedy Theatre are proud to present Keiki Kalo. Co-coordinated by Melisa Orozco Vargas, a graduate student in the Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) program and TYA faculty member Mark Branner, this interactive hands-on educational entertainment experience is created for ages 0-4. Keiki Kalo has performances at Kennedy Theatre's Earle Ernst Lab Theatre at 9:00am and 10:00am on: September 21 and 28; October 5 and 26; November 8, 16, and 23; and, December 7. The production is designed for a small audience, lasts approximately 35 minutes, and has floor and bench seating.

Centenary Stage Company and Centenary University offers "Acting for the Camera" workshop to the general public during the 2019 Spring Semester. The 2019 Spring Semester runs January 14 through May 3. The class meets Thursday evenings between the hours of 4:00pm and 6:30pm. Registration deadline for the workshop is Friday, January 11. Registration is $250 per participant.

Announced today, “Dragon Skin” Authors Joe Trippi, Patrick Hayes, and Jules Radcliff have engaged as their Literary and Broadcast Agent, Alan Morell of Creative Management Partners LLC in Beverly Hills CA for their Book to Film Option rights. Mr. Trippi, (former FOX and current CNN Analyst) is a character featured in the Hugh Jackman upcoming fall film SONY release, “Front Runner”, the true story of Gary Hart and his presidential bid.
