McKinley Belcher III Joins Wendell Pierce & Sharon D Clarke Led DEATH OF A SALESMAN on Broadway, Plus Creative Team Announced

Today, Broadway’s upcoming production of Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman announced that McKinley Belcher III will join the cast as Willy and Linda Loman’s son, “Happy.” Producers also revealed key members of the creative team, who will help bring the show to life at the Hudson Theatre for a limited 17-week engagement starting September 19.

Jury Revealed for Geena Davis' 8th Annual Bentonville Film Festival

Today, The Bentonville Film Festival unveiled their distinguished Competition Jury, singularly dedicated to inclusive representation in media and entertainment. The festival, produced by the BFFoundation and chaired by Academy Award-winning Actor Geena Davis, will take place in-person June 22-26 and virtually June 22-July 3. The illustrious group of jurors is composed of award-winning producers, directors, actors and authors, including actor Yolonda Ross, film and television producer Bird Runningwater, actor Shohreh Aghdashloo, writer and filmmaker Justine Bateman, among others. The Festival is sponsored by Founding Partner, Walmart and Presenting Partner Coca-Cola. 

New Film Series at Japan Society to Hold Screenings from May 13th through June 3rd

Japan Society presents Part of the Okinawa in Focus series and the Globus Film Series, Visions of Okinawa: Cinematic Reflections. The screenings of these films are set for May 13th through June 3rd. In-theater screenings are set for May 13th through May 21st. Virtual screenings will run from May 14th through June 3rd. The films will be available to stream in North America or globally. For details, see the individual titles of the films below. 

Rita Moreno To be Honored At Museum Of The Moving Image

Legendary star of screen and stage Rita Moreno will be honored by Museum of the Moving Image at its 2021 Moving Image Awards on Wednesday, December 1. Moreno has won all four of the most prestigious awards in show business-an Oscar, a Tony, two Emmys, and a Grammy-and has appeared in more than 40 feature films.

Walnut Street Theatre Invites Families To Journey Under The Sea At THE LITTLE MERMAID

Kids of all ages can explore the underwater kingdom of Atlantis during the WST for Kids' production of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID, JR. Ron Shelton to Screen BULL DURAHM at 2019 BendFilm Festival

BendFilm announced today that legendary writer and director Ron Shelton will screen his 1988 directorial debut, Bull Durham, and moderate the 'First Features' panel as part of his role as First Features Honoree at the 16th annual BendFilm Festival. Shelton's illustrious career also includes films such as Blaze, White Men Can't Jump, Cobb, Tin Cup, and Hollywood Homicide. Shelton's work spans four decades with more than ten screenwriting and writer/director credits to his name. First Features honorees from past Festivals include John Sayles & Maggie Renzi (2016), Peter Gilbert (2017) and Debra Granik (2018).

The New Group Honors Edie Falco And Serge Nivelle At Annual Gala

Off-Broadway's The New Group will honor Edie Falco and Serge Nivelle at the company's Annual Gala on Monday, March 11 at Tribeca Rooftop (2 Desbrosses Street between Hudson & Greenwich).  The event will feature a performance by Brandon Victor Dixon and appearances by Peter Dinklage, Warren Leight, Erica Schmidt and Tarik Trotter. The evening, 6:00-10:00pm, includes cocktails, dinner and live auctions.
