Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts is proud to present the world touring Led Zeppelin legacy band 'No Quarter' Saturday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m.

Grammy-nominated rock band Panic! At The Disco's latest single “High Hopes” is a certified hit, led by 2,800 spins at SiriusXM's Hits 1‎ the single claims the #1 spot across three radio formats this week including Pop, Hot AC, and Alternative radio. The song, which was just certified PLATINUM by the Recording Industry Association of America last month for exceeding 1 million units sold, has also cracked the Top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart, making it their biggest single since 2006's breakout “I Write Sins Not Tragedies.”

The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture has announced its 2019 winter/spring season, a rich program of theater, film, music, poetry, art, and talk events featuring artists and thought leaders including Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter;Tony Award winner Lena Hall; Grammy Award-winning musician and recording artist Eileen Ivers; Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award nomineeAlexander Gemignani;and journalist and former Wall Street Journal columnist Sohrab Ahmari.

Jasmyn Banks and Tom England will join the previously announced Caroline Langrishe, Aden Gillett, James Sutton and Elizabeth Boag in the 2019 national tour of Torben Betts's biting comedy, CAROLINE'S KITCHEN, beginning on 24 January 2019 at Derby Theatre, running through to 13 April 2019 at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester. This will be followed by an off-Broadway season in New York Spring 2019. There will be a national press night at Cambridge Arts Theatre on Tuesday 29 January 2019.

As the 2nd annual “Heal The Music Day” wraps for 2018, more than 170 members of the music community – songwriters, musicians, performers, artist managers, publishers, business managers, record labels, trade organizations and more – pledged a percentage of their single-day revenues to support their fellow musicians and peers in the industry in times of medical crisis. With $300,000 raised in support of Music Health Alliance, every dollar donated equals $30 in life-saving healthcare resources. Music Health Alliance's free services range from access to doctors and hospitals, medicine, health insurance and finding financial assistance during times of illness.

Peak Performances' 2018-2019 season of genre-and-convention-defying performances continues with Smashed, Gandini Juggling's acclaimed work inspired by the choreography of Pina Bausch, directed by Sean Gandini and assistant directed by Kati Yla-Hokkala. Smashed is set at a tea party with a group of mild-tempered, buttoned-up attendees, juggling apples in perfect, cordial unison-until their movements reveal and give way to growing, often gendered power tensions in a crescendo of destruction. Set to a soundtrack ranging from Bach to Louis Armstrong to Tammy Wynette, the Gandinis display a virtuosic blend of skills, precision, and theatricality that leaves the audience breathless. Formed in 1992 by world-renowned jugglers Gandini and Yla-Hokkala, Gandini Juggling continues to be at the vanguard of contemporary circus. In 2016 the company contributed juggling choreography for the Olivier Award-winning English National Opera (ENO) production of Philip Glass's Akhnaten. Prior to their Peak Performances engagement, Gandini Juggling has been working with MSU mathematical sciences professors Mika Munakata and Ashuwin Vaidya to develop a juggling classroom module for their National Science Foundation-funded project called Engaged Learning through Creativity in Mathematics and Science. Smashed comes to the Alexander Kasser Theater at Montclair State University (1 Normal Ave., Montclair, NJ) December 13-16.

The Players Club of Swarthmore presents A Christmas Story, The Musical , a holiday delight for the whole family. Based on the classic movie A Christmas Story released in 1983. A Christmas Story, The Musical features music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land) and an inventive book by Joseph Robinette. As Chicago's vibrant Polish community celebrates the 100 year anniversary of the regaining of Polish independence, Chicago Philharmonic honors the rich music traditions of Poland and the importance of the community in the cultural history of Chicago in Chicago Philharmonic Festival: Poland 2018, November 7-11. The ambitious festival will present world-class Polish musicians and soloists, Polish-Chicago music and arts organizations, music from Polish composers, the Chicago Philharmonic orchestra, and Artistic Director Scott Speck across five concerts presented in five days throughout the city of Chicago culminating in a free performance on November 11 - the day celebrating the 100th year of independence and Armistice Day.

This year, The Washington Ballet celebrates 15 years of DC's perennial favorite, Septime Webre's The Nutcracker, November 24 - 25 at THEARC Theater and November 29 - December 28 at the historic Warner Theatre. Set to Tchaikovsky's magical score, this celebrated production set in 1882 early Georgetown has become the signature Nutcracker in our nation's capital.

Kristine Froseth and Charlie Plummer have been cast as the leads of Hulu's upcoming 8-episode limited series, 'Looking for Alaska,' based on bestselling John Green novel from Paramount Television and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage's Fake Empire.

Torben Betts's biting comedy, CAROLINE'S KITCHEN, was staged earlier this year on tour and at Park Theatre, London, under the title Monogamy, starring Janie Dee. Betts and his producers, Original Theatre Company, under the Artistic Direction of Alastair Whatley, have reworked the play and, with a new cast led by Caroline Langrishe, Aden Gillett, James Sutton and Elizabeth Boag (further casting to be announced), will begin a new national tour on 24 January 2019 at Derby Theatre, running through to 13 April 2019 at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester. Leith Theatre is proud to present The Last Days of Mankind, the epic anti-war satire by Viennese writer Karl Kraus, as its first full scale major production in over 20 years. The play will preview on Saturday 10 November, followed by the World Premiere opening on Sunday 11 November and run until Friday 16 November.
