TimeLine's Living History Program To Support Reparations Won Curriculum With Reading Of John Conroy's MY KIND OF TOWN

TimeLine Theatre Company, in partnership with the Chicago Teachers Union Foundation and the Chicago Teachers Union, will present a reading of John Conroy's play My Kind of Town in support of curriculum that teaches Chicago Public school students about the police torture scandal that plagued Chicago for more than three decades, focusing on learning about abuse of government power and violation of the public trust and empowering students to be agents of change. The reading will take place on Monday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at Chicago Teachers Union, 1901 W. Carroll Ave., Chicago, for an audience of approximately 300 students from four schools, and their teachers.

TimeLine Announces Inaugural FIRST DRAFT Playwrights Collective Festival

TimeLine Theatre Company announces its inaugural "FIRST DRAFT: A TimeLine Playwrights Collective Festival,' the culmination of the company's latest two-year new-play incubator program offering residency to Chicago-based emerging and established writers. FIRST DRAFT will take place December 1 - 3, 2018, at TimeLine's home at 615 W. Wellington Avenue in Chicago, with free public readings of new plays by current Playwrights Collective members Tyla Abercrumbie, Will Allan, Maureen Gallagher, and Calamity West. 

Full Cast Announced For Sheffield Theatres' Christmas Musical KISS ME, KATE

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres, Robert Hastie, today announces the full cast for Paul Foster's major revival of Kiss Me, Kate. Foster directs Delroy Atkinson (Gangster 1), Edward Baker-Duly (Fred), Cindy Belliot (Hattie), John Conroy (Baptista), Dafydd Emyr (Harrison Howell), Dex Lee (Bill), Rebecca Lock (Lilli), Ross McLaren (Gremio), Joel Montague (Gangster 2), Adam Rhys-Charles (Hortensio), Amy Ellen Richardson (Lois), Matthew Whennell-Clark (Ralph) and Layton Williams (Paul), with Jessica Buckby, Ronan Burns, Louis Gaunt, Ruby Greenwood, Tash Holway (also Assistant Choreographer and Dance Captain), Jennifer Louise Jones, Bobbie Little, Emmanuele N'Zuzi, Simon Oskarsson and Clancy Ryan. The production opens on 12 December, with previews from 7 December, and runs until 12 January 2019.

SundanceTV & Sundance Now Announces Partnership with Tele Munchen Group for THE NAME OF THE ROSE

Tele München Group (TMG) and AMC Networks' SundanceTV and Sundance Now have announced a partnership on the major television event, THE NAME OF THE ROSE, produced by 11 Marzo Film, Palomar and TMG in co-production with SundanceTV and RAI Fiction. The limited series will launch in 2019 on RAI in Italy and SundanceTV in the US, and will stream on Sundance Now in the US and Canada.

TOP HAT to Play Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury

Winner of three Olivier Awards (Best New Musical, Best Choreography, Best Costume Design) from its seven nominations, and winner of the Evening Standard Award for Best Night Out, the musical comes to Canterbury as part of a 47-week tour.

BWW Reviews: TOP HAT, Manchester Opera House, February 10 2015

After wowing crowds and the Olivier Award judges, Top Hat is touring the country bringing its infectious enthusiasm and the spirit of Fred Astaire around the country. Manchester's Opera House theatre hosted the latest leg of this affectionate adaption of irving Berlin's 1935 film staring Astaire and his long time collaborator Ginger Rogers.

Alan Burkitt and Charlotte Gooch Lead TOP HAT at Theatre Royal Glasgow

Let's Face the Music and Dance with Top Hat at the Theatre Royal until Saturday 13 December. Stepping into the tap dancing shoes of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the lead roles of Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont, are Alan Burkitt and Charlotte Gooch, who both return to Top Hat having previously performed these roles in the West End.

TOP HAT Coming to Theatre Royal Glasgow in December

Top Hat - winner of three Olivier Awards, for 'Best New Musical', 'Best Choreography', 'Best Costume Design' from its seven nominations - is enjoying an epic 47-week UK tour, visiting 24 theatres nationwide. From Tuesday 2 December Top Hat will be Puttin' on the Ritz at the Theatre Royal Glasgow.

TimeLine Theatre's Living History to Stage MY KIND OF TOWN, 11/10

TimeLine Theatre Company in collaboration with North Grand High School will present a staged reading of its acclaimed 2012 hit My Kind of Town, Monday, November 10 at 6 p.m. at North Grand High School, 4338 W. Wabansia Ave., Chicago.
