Review: MRS. DOUBTFIRE: THE NEW MUSICAL COMEDY at Broadway San Diego

It’s been over 30 years since the movie “Mrs. Doubtfire” hit the big screen and now it is on a national tour as a musical, bringing the movie's zaniness to the stage with lots of songs, dancing, and of course many fast costume changes.  “Mrs. Doubtfire: The New Musical Comedy” is playing at the San Diego Civic Theatre by Broadway San Diego through June 9th.

Interview: Austen Danielle Bohmer and Lauren Samuels on Bringing WICKED to Toronto

From June 5th until July 24th, the touring production of the hit Broadway Musical WICKED will be at Mirvish’s Princess of Wales Theatre. For over 20 years now, the songs, comedy, message, and heart of this musical have been captivating audiences with 'The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz.' Broadway World had the opportunity to chat with leads Austen Danielle Bohmer and Lauren Samuels about what it is like joining this juggernaut of a show, adjusting to life on tour, getting to be in WICKED at the same time that the much anticipated movie comes out, and what this show, these characters, and their powerful friendship means to them.

Review: GOOD GUY WITH A PUN - A Film With A Heart of Positivity

The award-winning TV pilot, GOOD GUY WITH A PUN, is an engaging and revelatory narrative about an endearing character whose story line we are eager to follow. Film maker Dmitry Milkin has created a story about resilience and positivity in a digital age.

Review: MRS. DOUBTFIRE Is the Pleasant Surprise of the Season at Dr. Phillips Center

I was doubtful of Doubtfire. Musicals fashioned out of nonmusical comedy films are seldom stellar, and unlike so many of the patrons inside Dr. Phillips Center on opening night, I hadn’t grown up on 1993’s Mrs. Doubtfire movie, so I couldn’t count on nostalgia to pull me through. I figured I was in for a Tootsie Part Two.

Review: SIX at the Aronoff Center

The energy was high on opening night as the sold-out crowd cheered loudly from the house from the very first beat and light shift. With a newly refreshed cast, the current touring production of Six exudes extravagance, dedication, and plenty of impressive notes within each catchy tune.
