Performing Arts Fort Worth has announced its 2020-2021 Broadway at the Bass Season at Bass Performance Hall! The seven-show series features exciting new titles direct from Broadway, freshly revamped revivals and multiple Tony Award-winners. Current 2019-2020 Broadway at the Bass season ticket holders have until March 6 to renew and keep their seats. New season tickets go on sale April 15. The hosts of the next Waitress London Cast Album Karaoke Night taking place on 24 February will be the show's composer and 2020 Grammy® Award winner Sara Bareilles (Love Song, Brave) and Olivier and Tony Award winner Gavin Creel (The Book of Mormon, Hello Dolly!) who are now starring in the roles of Jenna and Dr Pomatter for six weeks only until 7 March.

Steven Sater (Spring Awakening) will appear at NYC's The Strand (828 Broadway at 12th Street) to discuss his debut novel, Alice By Heart, an adaptation of his hit Off-Broadway musical of the same name, on Friday, February 7 at 7PM in The Strand's Rare Books Room.

Sara Bareilles is making her West End debut in London's production of Waitress, leading the show as Jenna for the next six weeks! She gave fans a sneak peek of her performance with an incredible rendition of 'She Used To Be Mine' on The Graham Norton Show. Watch the video below!

From 27 January, the WAITRESS diner has some not-so newbies joining the team! Sara Bareilles, who wrote the music and lyrics for the show is making her West End debut as Jenna, while Olivier Award winner Gavin Creel will be playing her leading man, Dr. Pomatter. Watch the video below!

One month to go! Broadway hit Waitress opens the Broadway Orange Park season on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 7:30 p.m.

On two cold January nights, The Flynn Center for the Performing Arts lobby smelled like a delicious pie shop, and the main stage was alive with a story about complicated love, motherhood, and finding the courage to make significant changes.

The next Waitress London Cast Album Karaoke Night has been confirmed for Wednesday 15 January 2020 in partnership with Encore Tickets. The event will be hosted by cast members Lucie Jones (Rent, Les Misérables, Legally Blonde) and David Hunter (Kinky Boots, Once, One Man, Two Guvnors). Audience members can sign up before the show for the chance to sing one minute of any song from Waitress live on stage at the Adelphi and accompanied by the show's musical director Katharine Woolley. Tickets for this performance can be purchased at the venue, waitressthemusical.co.uk and are also available via Encore Tickets at encoretickets.co.uk.

Waitress, adapted from the 2007 film of the same name, tells the story of Jenna Hunterson, a pie-maker/waitress working at Joe's Pie Diner somewhere in the southern United States. Jenna (Bailey McCall) is unhappily married to Earl (Clayton Howe), who is physically and emotionally abusive. When she finds out that she is pregnant, even though she doesn't want it, Jenna vows to keep the baby and find a way out of her loveless marriage. Her co-workers, the nerdy Dawn (Gabriella Marzetta) and the no-nonsense Becky (Kennedy Salters), have their own personal issues but provide much-needed comfort and support to Jenna.

BWW Review: WAITRESS SERVES UP PIE AND PASSION at Broadway San Jose, now thru Dec. 22

It was a night of surprises at the final Waitress Cast Album Karaoke! The night was hosted by the composer and lyricist of Waitress, the multi-platinum-selling Grammy and twice Tony-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles.

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall will present the Sarasota premiere of WAITRESS for a limited three-day engagement! The diner opens up on Friday, January 24 at 7:30 p.m. and runs through Sunday, January 26 with a total of five performances. Attendees will even have the opportunity to purchase pies at the hall while supplies last. Meet Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as 'The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie' and 'Betrayed By My Eggs Pie.' When a baking contest in a nearby county - and a satisfying encounter with someone new - show Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.

Waitress the musical will welcome Evelyn Hoskins (Assassins, Spring Awakening) to the role of Dawn in the New Year while original London cast member Marisha Wallace (Dreamgirls, Aladdin) is also announced to return to the West End production. Evelyn Hoskins will join the smash hit musical comedy on 25 January following Hannah Tointon's final performance, and Marisha Wallace will resume the role of Becky on 6 January following Sandra Marvin's final performance. Monique Ashe-Palmer will also join in the ensemble from 9 January, taking on the role from Cindy Belliot.
