Simon Godwin knows his way around a Shakespeare text. Among his National Theatre credits are memorable productions of Twelfth Night, starring Tamsin Greig, and Antony and Cleopatra, which won Evening Standard Theatre Awards for both Ralph Fiennes and Sophie Okonedo. But when the pandemic hit, plans for a major revival in the Olivier auditorium of Romeo and Juliet, starring Josh O'Connor and Jessie Buckley, had to shift gears, and fast.

A first-look image has today been released for the National Theatre’s Romeo & Juliet, a feature film for broadcast on Sky Arts and PBS this April. The image features Romeo, played by Josh O’Connor (The Crown, God’s Own Country) and Juliet, played by Jessie Buckley (Chernobyl, Judy), as they meet by moonlight at Juliet’s balcony. The image was taken during filming at the National Theatre.

FX has set the premiere date for the highly-anticipated fourth installment of Fargo, the Emmy, Golden Globe, AFI, Peabody and TCA Award-winning limited series created by Noah Hawley. Starring Chris Rock, the next chapter will premiere with two episodes directed by Hawley on Sunday, September 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.

The Guild of Music Supervisors held its landmark 10th annual award ceremony this evening at The Wiltern in Los Angeles celebrating outstanding achievement in the craft of Music Supervision in movies, television, games, advertising, and trailers. Over 1,000 attendees joined the Guild to honor the 31 crafts makers, who were recognized for their stellar musical accomplishments in 2019. Industry music legends Burt Bacharach and Bob Hunka crowned the evening as Bacharach received this year's Icon Award, and Hunka received the prestigious Legacy Award.
