The Public Theater announced a one-week extension today for George Brant's Grounded, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Julie Taymor and featuring Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway. Grounded began previews on Tuesday, April 7 and will now run an additional week through Sunday, May 24 in the Anspacher Theater, with an official press opening on Sunday, April 26.

MCC THEATER has announce dthat actor and "Daily Show" regular Aasif Mandvi will serve as emcee for this year's Miscast 2015 Gala, to be held Monday, March 30, 2015 at The Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center (311 West 34th Street). 'Oceanside' by Nick Gandiello will have its world premiere production at Merrimack Repertory Theatre under the direction of Melia Bensussen this winter. The production marks the first full-length professional production for Gandiello, an up-and-coming playwright whose work has received considerable national attention from playwriting conferences and workshops.
