Mad Cat Theatre Company, recently named Best Theatre Company by the Miami New Times for 2013 is back with a world premiere play Blow Me written by company member Jessica Farr and directed by Mad Cat's founder and Artistic Director, Paul Tei.

MAD CAT THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to present its second annual Nine Lives Scholarship Awards to Christian Frost (Outstanding High School Senior) and Vanessa Elise (Outstanding College Senior). Each recipient will be awarded a $500 scholarship and presented a commemorative plaque which will be presented on opening night of Mad Cat's next play Blow Me by Jessica Farr at the SandBox at the Miami Theater Center on August 16, 2013.

This frequently asked question is tackled by Kristina Wong in her devastatingly hilarious play Cat Lady which will open Mad Cat Theatre Company's 13th season. Cat Lady explores the parallel worlds of two polar opposite archetypes living at the margins of the dating world - musty cat ladies and the fast-talking male pick-up artists who hunt among them. Wrapping up Mad Cat Theatre Company's 12th season, is yet another World Premiere, this time a play written by Jessica Farr and Paul Tei. THE HAMLET DOG AND PONY SHOW is a deconstruction of Shakespeare's tragedy, HAMLET. Their take not only allots the age old question "To be or not to be" but contemplates whether or not the question is even still valid in today's hypermodern society. Through the use of music, multimedia and puppetry, The Hamlet Dog and Pony Show, directed by Paul Tei, is a tragedy of errors that remains in dialogue with the dead in order to build a method for which to go on living.
