The Naked Stage to Kick Off 24 HOUR THEATRE PROJECT, 10/28
The Naked Stage will present: THE NAKED STAGE'S 24 HOUR THEATRE PROJECT 2013! at Palm Beach Dramaworks on Monday, October 28th at 8 p.m.
How does it work? At 7 p.m., on Sunday, October 27th, 2013, eight playwrights will gather at Palm Beach Dramaworks and randomly select the headshots of four actors and one director. They are then given a list of ridiculous play titles, from which they must each write a short play to be staged, rehearsed and performed the next day -- just 24 hours later! At sunrise on Monday, October 28th, their actors, directors and stage managers arrive and spend the entire day bringing the writers' work to life -- a process that usually takes weeks! That night, at 8 p.m., an audience will gather to see . . . well, we have no idea what they're going to see, actually!
It's like the entire creative theatrical process on SPEED!
This one-night event is coordinated by Naked Stage Artistic Director Katherine Amadeoand features many of South Florida's TOP actors, directors & playwrights, such as:
