92nd Street Y Announces Return of In-Person Fall Classical Music Season

The 92nd Street Y has announced its fall classical music season today, its first fully in-person season since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Comprising 14 concerts performed in 92Y’s historic Kaufmann Concert Hall, the fall season includes two appearances by world-renowned pianist Richard Goode and more.

Lammermuir Festival Will Return This September With Live Audiences

The festival opens with four wonderful song recitals presented in partnership with BBC Radio 3 featuring Robert Murray and Alisdair Hogarth, James Atkinson and Sholto Kynoch, Catriona Morison and Malcolm Martineau, and Mary Bevan and Joseph Middleton.  Over the course of these two weeks some of the best classical musicians gather to bring audiences a very special re-immersion in the power of live music.

Honens International Piano Competition Announces Dates For 2022 Edition

The Honens International Piano Competition has announced the 2022 edition schedule, which was postponed from 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 50 Quarterfinalists chosen to participate in the Competition remain in place for 2022, as will the juries and collaborating artists, where possible. Quarterfinalists hail from 18 different countries.

Meany Center Announces 2021–2022 Season

The University of Washington’s Meany Center for the Performing Arts has announced a return to live performance on October 13, 2021, with the beginning of the 2021–22 Season. Robert Spano Appointed Music Director Of Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra President and CEO Dr. Keith Cerny and Board Chair Mercedes T. Bass today announced the appointment of conductor Robert Spano as the orchestra's next Music Director. His initial three-year term will begin with the 2022–23 season. Having worked with the orchestra as Principal Guest Conductor since 2019, Robert Spano will become Music Director Designate on April 1, 2021, and will serve in this capacity until assuming the title of Music Director on August 1, 2022.
