Harlem Quartet is set to perform at the Morris Museum on  Thursday, August 26.

The 92nd Street Y has announced its fall classical music season today, its first fully in-person season since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Comprising 14 concerts performed in 92Y’s historic Kaufmann Concert Hall, the fall season includes two appearances by world-renowned pianist Richard Goode and more.

The festival opens with four wonderful song recitals presented in partnership with BBC Radio 3 featuring Robert Murray and Alisdair Hogarth, James Atkinson and Sholto Kynoch, Catriona Morison and Malcolm Martineau, and Mary Bevan and Joseph Middleton.  Over the course of these two weeks some of the best classical musicians gather to bring audiences a very special re-immersion in the power of live music.

The Honens International Piano Competition has announced the 2022 edition schedule, which was postponed from 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 50 Quarterfinalists chosen to participate in the Competition remain in place for 2022, as will the juries and collaborating artists, where possible. Quarterfinalists hail from 18 different countries.

The University of Washington’s Meany Center for the Performing Arts has announced a return to live performance on October 13, 2021, with the beginning of the 2021–22 Season. Meany Center is inviting back to the stage many of the visiting artists whose performances were canceled due to the pandemic.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts today announced new artistic commissions, creative community, and civic collaborations, and more this coming June at Restart Stages—the new outdoor performing arts center constructed on the Lincoln Center campus.

The San Francisco Opera and San Francisco Symphony have returned to live, in-person performances, presenting drive-in shows as well as indoor concerts. The indoor concerts will be presented with with modifications including intermissionless shows and social distancing. 

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts today announced the official public opening of Restart Stages—a new outdoor performing arts center constructed on the Lincoln Center campus—welcoming audiences to reimagined community spaces and new outdoor venues, with dozens of free events and surprise Pop-Up performances in music, dance, drama, and more.

The Bronx Museum, Queens Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum hosted dance performances featuring Ayodele Casel, Amanda Castro, Anthony Morigerato, John Manzari, Anastasia Victory, and Senfu. 

Passersby in Lower Manhattan got a treat on Saturday afternoon. As a part of NY PopsUp- the sprawling arts festival intended to bring back the arts sector in New York State, Tony Award winner Gavin Creel, Shoshana Bean, and Ximone Rose united to bring music back to the city.

NY PopsUp has announced the lineup for its next performance, taking place this Saturday, February 27. This weekend's performance will feature a 'musical collaboration' between Gavin Creel, Shoshana Bean, Ximone Rose, Nadia Digiallonardo, Meg Toohey, and Marq Walls.

The inaugural NY PopsUp performance took place on Saturday, February 20, at 12:30 for staff at the Javits Center.  The event was a NYC Love Riot led by Jon Batiste, featuring Ayodele Casel and Anthony Roth Costanzo in Manhattan and Brooklyn. 

NY PopsUp is an expansive festival consisting of hundreds of pop-up performances that will regularly permeate the daily lives of New Yorkers. It is intended to revitalize the spirit and emotional well-being of New York citizens through the energy of live performance.

DACAMERA, a Houston-based presenter of chamber music and jazz concerts, announces its virtual programming lineup for January through March. Continuing in the same format as DACAMERA's Fall 2020 programming, which the The New Yorker described as “an online season that stands apart from the virtual crowd,' the Spring season will include streamed concerts, two performances highlighting its longstanding collaboration with the world-famous Menil Collection, premiere broadcast streams of archival concerts with new introductions and more. Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra President and CEO Dr. Keith Cerny and Board Chair Mercedes T. Bass today announced the appointment of conductor Robert Spano as the orchestra's next Music Director. His initial three-year term will begin with the 2022–23 season. Having worked with the orchestra as Principal Guest Conductor since 2019, Robert Spano will become Music Director Designate on April 1, 2021, and will serve in this capacity until assuming the title of Music Director on August 1, 2022.

NY PopsUp, an unprecedented and expansive festival featuring hundreds of pop-up performances (many of which are free of charge and all open to the public) that will intersect with the daily lives of New Yorkers, has been announced by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo. This series of events, intended to revitalize the spirit and emotional well-being of New York citizens with the energy of live performance while jumpstarting New York’s struggling live entertainment sector, is a private / public partnership overseen by producers Scott Rudin and Jane Rosenthal, in coordination with the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and Empire State Development (ESD). 

This week, the Ontario government extended and tightened restrictions for everyone in Ontario. Unfortunately, these new restrictions mean that concert halls remain closed to audiences and now we also are unable to have artists or production staff creating livestreams.
