Just last night, New York Stage and Film celebrated its annual Winter Gala, honoring six-time Tony Award-nominated producer and philanthropist Diana DiMenna, and Academy Award and four-time Golden Globe-nominated and Tony Award-winning actor and producer Tom Hulce. The Winter Gala, a fundraising event to support New York Stage and Film's year-round theater and film development initiatives, was held at The Ziegfeld Ballroom (141 West 54th Street, New York City).

TheatreZone, a Naples-based professional Equity theatre specializing in Broadway musicals, begins its 15th season with Home for the Holidays which will be presented at Dec. 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 14 and 15 at 2:00 p.m.

Jennifer Westfeldt ('Younger,' 'Friends with Kids') and Victoria Justice ('Victorious,' 'Eye Candy') have been tapped for the freshman season of the forthcoming scripted series 'Queen America' on Facebook Watch, Facebook's new video platform. Westfeldt's status is as a recurring guest star with Justice attached to the project for dual-episodes. This new series stars Oscar and Tony award-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones (Vicki Ellis). 'Queen America' is created, written, and executive produced by Meaghan Oppenheimer ('Fear the Walking Dead'). Westfeldt and Justice join previously announced series regulars Belle Shouse, Teagle F. Bougere, Rana Roy, Isabella Amara, Molly Price and Megan West.

New York Stage and Film announced today that they have expanded their Filmmakers' Workshop winter session, bringing the 2017-18 residency filmmakers to New York City to get feedback on the rewrite of their script, participate in Master Classes addressing the next phase of their process, and meet other professionals from the industry at a celebratory cocktail party this year hosted by Moet Hennessy. 

The cast and crew of Terrence McNally's FIRE AND AIR celebrated the world premiere of the new play at Classic Stage Company last night, Thursday, February 1st. People's Light is delighted to announce the headliners for the upcoming world premiere of Lights Out: Nat 'King' Cole by Colman Domingo and Patricia McGregor, slated to open the Theatre's season in October 2017. Emmy-nominated actor Dule Hill (The West Wing) will play Cole, and Broadway regular Daniel J. Watts will appear as Sammy Davis, Jr.

The hit TV Land comedy YOUNGER, starring Broadway's Sutton Foster is now available to stream on Hulu. Past episodes of the series may now be viewed ahead of the June 28th Season 4 premiere as part of an exclusive pact between Viacom and the subscription video service.
