Wilbury Theatre Group presents the Rhode Island premiere of Tony-Award winner for Best Play (2016) The Humans by Stephen Karam, directed by Josh Short.  Running November 17 – December 11, the production features Jim O'Brien, Jeanine Kane, Rachel Dulude, Jessie March, Dave Rabinow, & Carol Varden. 

Directed by Ron May and featuring a pitch-perfect cast, The Black Theatre Troupe's production of Robert O'Hara's BARBECUE is a richly intelligent play and a definite must-see. Runs through November 6th.

Dracula, a novel written by Bram Stoker and published in 1897, became Stoker’s most definitive work. Told in an epistolary style through letters, journal entries, and newspaper articles, Stoker’s novel is never told through the eyes of a single protagonist. Our tale begins with a businessman by the name of Jonathan Harker traveling to the Transylvanian Castle of one Count Dracula, in order to procure a deed. Having merely escaped the castle with his life, after finding out the Count is a Vampire, Harker makes his way home to England, where the Count has now taken up residence with plans to plague the small seaside town of Whitby.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for the world premiere production of The Far Country, an Atlantic commissioned play by Guggenheim fellow Lloyd Suh, directed by Obie Award winner Eric Ting.

On October 6th, Frog & Peach Theatre Company premiered AS YOU LIKE IT at Theatre 71. The Shakespeare ensemble returned to the stage with a LIVE showing of their long-anticipated comedy blockbuster. Rehearsals have begun for a major new production of Conor McPherson’s acclaimed 1997 play, The Weir. Directed by Abbey Theatre Artistic Director, Caitríona McLaughlin, this production will be staged at the Abbey theatre this winter.
