Gulfshore Playhouse, Naples' premier professional regional theater, is pleased to announce the promotions of two members of its valued staff. Joel Markus has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer & Managing Director and Sarah Owen has been promoted to Director of Development.

Trailblazing a historical path for the new Gulfshore Playhouse at the Baker Theatre and Education Center, numerous philanthropic, business and community leaders stepped up support for the professional theatre, not just meeting the Patty and Jay Baker $10 million match challenge, but exceeding it by over $400,000. Gulfshore Playhouse has now raised $54.3 million for its new cultural campus.

Leading the nation's growth for arts and entertainment, Gulfshore Playhouse recently celebrated the completion of the design process and upcoming groundbreaking in September for the new Gulfshore Playhouse Cultural Campus featuring the Baker Theatre and Education Center.

Reaffirming their commitment to the transformative project, Patty and Jay Baker have made a surprise announcement pledging to match all gifts made by July 4, 2021 up to $10 million. The Bakers, who kicked off the Next Stage Capital Campaign with the first match gift, now have pledged up to $20 million for the new Cultural Campus.

Audiences will be welcomed back to Milwaukee Rep for the 2021/22 Season with 12 productions across four venues in the Patty & Jay Baker Theater Complex. To ensure vaccines have time to be fully distributed and work to their optimal level, the start of the 2021/22 Season will start October 29, 2021 and run through July 1, 2022.

Bank of America has awarded Gulfshore Playhouse with a $250,000 grant that will support the construction of the new Gulfshore Playhouse Theatre and Education Center at the corner of Goodlette-Frank Road and First Avenue South.

Today a consortium of New York City cultural, educational, and media institutions announce Peter Brook/NY (Karen Brooks Hopkins, Executive Producer), a citywide recognition of Brook's work and his collaborations with Marie-Hélène Estienne from 1953 to the present. In addition to the U.S. Premiere of Brook and Estienne's Why? which Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA) presents September 21 a?" October 6 at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, Peter Brook/NY features programing from BAM, The Center for Fiction, Columbia University, French Institute Alliance Française's Crossing the Line Festival, Hunter College, The Juilliard School, TFANA, and WNET.  A booklet produced by BAM Hamm Archivesa?"featuring historic photographs, a timeline of Brook's productions and New York presence, an essay by writer Violaine Huisman, and information about Peter Brook/NY eventsa?"will be available to all attendees and online at BAM.org and TFANA.org.
