Looped, a three-person play about Hollywood’s original diva Tallulah Bankhead, is now playing at Westwego Cultural Center. Performances run from November 9th through November 19th, 2023.

Jefferson Performing Arts Society kicks off its Westbank 46th season stage productions with Steel Magnolias this month at the Westwego Cultural Center on Sala Avenue in Westwego.

An adaptation of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express will be brought to the Jefferson Performing Arts Center stage by Jefferson Performing Arts Society from March 10 through 19, Fridays through Sundays.

Jefferson Performing Arts Society has announced a variety of events coming to Jefferson Performing Arts Center in the New Year, from pageants and tribute concerts to folk dance and ballet.  

Jefferson Performing Arts Society will host a “Party for the Performing Arts” featuring longtime JPAS performers and other special guests, at Jefferson Performing Arts Center on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Guests will dine onstage inside the JPAC theater; seating is limited to 250 people due to this unique and rare experience. 

Jefferson Performing Arts Society proudly announces its 45th season mainstage directors, featuring directors based in New Orleans, New York, and San Antonio. Several directors are returning to JPAS after directing or performing with JPAS in recent seasons; two make their JPAS directorial debut this season. The following overview includes shows that are part of JPAS mainstage season subscription packages, currently on sale. Single ticket sales open June 6th for all 45th season shows. The reflection of beginnings and endings is prominent in the newest production by the Tennessee Williams Theatre Company with Tennessee Williams' VIEUX CARRE, now running through August 25 at the Marigny Opera House.

The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans returns to the Marigny Opera House for a second year with Vieux Carre by Tennessee Williams. The play follows a young writer like Williams himself in the spring of 1939 when he first falls in love with New Orleans while staying in a rooming house shared with a cast of eclectic quarter characters. 722 Toulouse Street is the house in question, one of Williams' first homes in the French Quarter. This kicks of a season of New Orleans plays for the company to celebrate the city's 300th anniversary.

The Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival returns to the historic French Quarter for its 32nd annual celebration of contemporary literature, culture, theater, and the works of Tennessee Williams. From March 21-25, 2018, attendees will enjoy celebrated award-winning speakers alongside fresh new voices on the literary scene.
