BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. Fifty summers after the volatile, Chicago-hosted 1968 Democratic National Convention, '68 - a new American musical, will debut in July 2018 as an invited production of the highly acclaimed New York Musical Festival (NYMF). Told through unexpectedly moving tales about characters whose lives were impacted by intensely turbulent times, the compelling new work uses passion, humor, insight and highly memorable musicality and performances to haunt and inspire audiences of baby boomers and new generations by sharing lessons learned.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today further selections for 2018 NYMF. The final invited production as well as a series of developmental readings and concerts will join the initially announced Next Link Projects. Now in its fifteenth year, the 2018 Festival will take place July 9th through August 5th at locations on West 42nd St. in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director and Rachel Sussman serves as Producing Artistic Director.

On Thursday, October 26, 7 PM, two-time Fred Ebb Award finalists Don and Jeff Breithaupt (aka The Breithaupt Brothers), whose Seeing Stars -- an original musical comedy written with book writer Shelley McPherson -- delighted sold-out audiences at the New York Musical Festival and whose recent recording, Just Passing Through, prompted CBC Radio to call their songs 'worthy of the Great American Songbook,' bring their songbook back to Joe's Pub for an all-star revue. The show will feature a cast of acclaimed cabaret, musical theater, and jazz singers fronted by a sparkling house band. Singing a selection of new Breithaupt Brothers songs and favorites, as well as a clutch of songs from Seeing Stars, will be rising cabaret star Marissa Mulder, the Manhattan Transfer's Janis Siegel, jazz trio Duchess, Broadway's Jeremy Kushnier, singer-songwriter Jamie Leonhart, cabaret spitfire Shelley McPherson, The Sweet Remains' Greg Naughton, and actors Michael Halling, Christian Campbell, Joan Hess, Chris Bolan, and Todd Gearhart.

Joe's Pub at The Public partners, once again, with Philadelphia's renowned Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts for the Kimmel Center Theater Residency. Under the guidance of Jay Wahl, Producing Artistic Director of the Kimmel Center, and Shanta Thake, Director of Joe's Pub, the intensive program serves as an incubator for artists and collaborators to create and develop innovative new musical theater projects and music. The program will be held in the Kimmel Center's SEI Innovation Studio (300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA) from June 5-18 with free public workshops with audience feedback and Q&A on June 16 and 17.
