The York Theatre Company presents the world premiere of the new musical comedy Christmas in Hell with book, music, and lyrics by Gary Apple ('The Simpsons'), with direction and choreography by Bill Castellino (Desperate Measures, York/New World Stages) andmusic direction, music supervision, and arrangements by Logan Medland (National Tours of Cats and Crazy for You). The eight-member cast features Scott Ahearn (Under the Knife: A Farce, Theater for the New City) as Richard, Donna English (Nice Work If You Can Get It, Broadway)as Mrs. Huvey, Lori Hammel (Mamma Mia!, Broadway) as Galiana, Elijah Rayman (Oliver, Goodspeed Opera House) as Davin, Zak Risinger(The Cradle Will Rock, Howl! Arts) as Carl, Brandon Williams (Gettin' the Band Back Together, Broadway) as Lucifer, Dathan B. Williams (Show Boat, Broadway) as Detective Zanderhoff, and Ron Wisniski (Beauty and the Beast, Broadway) as Principal Bolton.

Broadway Dreams and The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization announced today that two-time Grammy Award-winner Isabel Leonard, Broadway vet Eden Espinosa, and Tony Award nominee Erin Dilly will join the cast of the previously announced 70th Anniversary gala concert celebration of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize Award-winning musical triumph, South Pacific. The evening will take place on Monday, December 10, 2018 at The St. Regis New York (2 E 55th Street) and will serve as a fundraiser for Broadway Dreams, a not-for-profit performing arts training organization with global reach. Tickets for the event start at $1,000 and can be purchased at broadwaydreams.org/event-tickets.

The Reading Stage is a presentation of readings of new ten-minute plays by dramatic writing students at UMass Dartmouth. Readings will take place on December 3 & 5th at 6pm in Room 205 of the Claire T Carney Library on the UMass Dartmouth campus.

Irish Repertory Theatre announced casting for A Child's Christmas In Wales by Dylan Thomas (Under Milk Wood). Adapted & directed by Charlotte Moore (On A Clear Day You Can See Forever), A Child's Christmas In Wales begins performances on November 28, 2018 at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, with an opening night set for December 3, and will run through December 30, 2018.
