Emerging Artists Theatre celebrates its 25th Anniversary by presenting their 20th Annual New Work Series (NWS). Under the direction of Artistic Director, Paul Adam's, the festival runs February 26 through March 18 at TADA Theatre in Chelsea.
POPCORN FALLS, a new comedy by playwright/actor James Hindman, will hold a private industry reading on March 2nd in NYC under the direction of two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle and starring James Hindman (OCEAN'S 8, IRON FIST) and Tom Souhrada (MARY POPPINS, KINKY BOOTS).
'A Christmas Survival Guide,' conceived and written by James Hindman and Ray Roderick with musical arrangements by John Glaudin, is opening December 1 at the Granite Theatre. The show is chock-full of songs, vignettes, advice and enough messages about the 'true meaning of Christmas' to get one through the holidays without therapy sessions. Midtown Direct Rep (MDR) is delighted to present its second reading of its 2017-1018 staged reading series, Theater at The Woodland, with a presentation of FEAR, written by Matt Williams and directed by Mark Armstrong. This event will be performed for one night only on Sunday, December 3rd at 7:00pm at The Woodland (60 Woodland Rd. Maplewood, NJ), where MDR is the resident theater company. The Granite Theatre of Westerly, announces the opening of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar , music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. The show that changed the musical theatre world 45 years ago about a man who changed the world 2000 years ago! Theatre NOVA, Ann Arbor's professional theatre with an exclusive focus on new plays and playwrights, presents their semi-annual Michigan Playwrights Festival, now in its third year.
