The story of one family's struggle living in the Shenandoah Valley during the American Civil War leaps to life in a hidden field in Serenbe, transporting you to the rolling hills of Virginia. The Alliance Theatre is pleased to announce the three artistic projects chosen for development during its third annual Reiser Atlanta Artists Lab. Each project will receive $10,000 to use toward further exploration and development, as well as access to the Alliance's artistic, educational, and production staffs, and rehearsal spaces. The shortlists have been announced for The Imagination Awards, a new competition launched by the award-winning West End production of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to encourage creativity among inventive youngsters and budding theatre designers. Entries were invited from young inventors aged 5-15, who were asked to invent a solution to a problem in the world around them, and from theatre designers aged 13-21.
