The Ridgefield Theater Barn reopened its doors with a red-carpet splash on June 11, welcoming back patrons and invited guests for the first night of their Evening of One Acts. 

Main Street Theatre Works will be back this summer at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre in Jackson for “theatre under the stars.” MSTW kicks off their 18th Summer  Season at the Amphitheatre with the hilarious Kong’s Night Out, written by Jack Neary and  directed by Allen Pontes. The show runs Friday & Saturday, June 18th - July 17th.

The lakes region's historic Deertrees Theatre, “Maine's Most Enchanting Playhouse”, celebrates the launch of its 85th anniversary season with a full summer of in-person performances and events starting June 19.

As the story unfolds, doors fly open and slam shut, as well as mistaken identities, pies in the face, deceit, underhandedness, and even a couple of romances. It's a comic look at a classic story, as depicted in the 1933 movie. Kong's Night Out runs June 18th - July 17th.

Historic Deertrees Theatre has announced its 85th anniversary summer season. The quintessential performing arts venue, providing performing arts entertainment to the Greater Maine region since 1936, presents an eclectic offering for the summer of 2021, featuring an open house, theatrical productions, comedy and several fundraisers. 

Boston Playwrights’ Theatre will present Boston Theater Marathon XXIII: Special Zoom Edition, featuring 50 ten-minute plays written by New England playwrights and presented by New England theatre companies via the video conferencing tool Zoom.

A timeless story returns to a virtual audience. “It's a Wonderful Life,” the 1946 Frank Capra film starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, has been reimagined by playwright Joe Landry. This beloved American holiday story comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With a small ensemble bringing to life a myriad of characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. 

Since Main Street Theatre Works was forced to cancel its 2020 Summer season at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they have put together a virtual fundraiser that they hope will help satisfy some of the company's artistic needs, the patrons' entertainment needs, and help with MSTW's financial needs.

Main Street Theatre Works (MSTW) has officially announced its 2020 Summer Season at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre in Jackson, starting with Kong's Night Out, by Jack Neary, directed by Allen Pontes.

Acting Out Productions presents its acclaimed presentation of Jack Neary's romantic comedy, FIRST NIGHT, at the Hatbox Theatre in Concord, New Hampshire for 7 performances on September 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 7:30 pm, on September 8 and 15 at 2:00 pm. Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) presents Boston Theater Marathon XXI, featuring 50 ten-minute plays, written by 52 New England playwrights, and produced by 50 New England theatres in ten hours.

In honor of Valentines Day, the Larcom Theatre in Beverly will present 'First Night' a romantic comedy for all ages Thursday, February 14 thru Sunday, February 17.

'Trick or Treat,' an absorbing dark comedy, is now on stage at 59E59 Theaters for a limited engagement through February 24. Written by Jack Neary, the show features the finest direction by Carol Dunne and an excellent cast.

As the sixth annual New Works Now new play festival commences, Northern Stage is thrilled to announce its third Off-Broadway production, Only Yesterday by Hollywood writer Bob Stevens, and bring another world premiere to the main stage, Venus Rising by local playwright Marisa Smith.

The 8th ANNUAL BOSTON ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL (#1MPF) returns for its eighth year, in partnership with Boston Playwrights' Theatre. The marathon evening of one-minute plays by 60 established and emerging Boston area playwrights and directors plays three performances only. Today, January 5th at 8pm, Sunday, January 6th at 8pm, & Monday, January 7th at 8pm.

The romantic comedy/drama, THIN SLICING, will have its second New York City production at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre Best of 2018 Play Showcase. The limited run will play December 14 and 15 in midtown Manhattan.
