2x GRAMMY Award-nominated singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright has announced plans for another landmark virtual concert event. Rufus Does Judy at Capitol Studios will see Wainwright performing his groundbreaking 2007 tribute to Judy Garland, Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall, in its entirety, live from Los Angeles' famed Capitol Studios.

Off-Broadway musical, A LETTER TO HARVEY MILK will be presented as a benefit online beginning April 22 at 7 PM and running through 25, 2021. When Harry fulfills a writing assignment to compose a letter to someone from his past who's dead, he writes not to his late wife Frannie but Harvey Milk, the first openly gay political leader in California.

Hershey Felder Presents – Live from Florence has announced the world premiere livestream of Hershey Felder as Sergei Rachmaninoff in Anna & Sergei, a new streaming film written by and starring virtuoso pianist/performer Hershey Felder.  

The Mill at Sonning, the UK's only dinner theatre, has received a grant of £448,550 from the Government's £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund to help the organisation recover and reopen.

Berkshire Theatre Group has announced immersive outdoor experiences for summer 2021, with a casting sneak-peek. BTG will be releasing a complete season cast announcement at a later date. Berkshire Theatre Group will work in adherence with government guidelines and corresponding health and safety officials.

In honor of the recent announcements about NYC’s plan to help live theatre begin again (and getting my first Covid-19 vaccine today!), I have made a list, in no particular order, of some experiences that I cannot wait to experience again when live theatre and in-person theatre school returns!

The Carnegie is pleased to announce it's bringing the arts outdoors once again! After the sold-out success of last year's socially distanced GODSPELL production, The Carnegie is preparing for an outdoor spring performance series in Covington.

Spring is in the air this month as BroadwayHD, adds a lineup of new musicals, plays and documentaries. Kicking off the month on April 1st is Irving Berlin’s Easter Parade, a classic movie musical starring Judy Garland, Fred Astaire and Ann Miller, about a Broadway star who decides to go solo. 

During the Shaw Festival's Annual General Meeting, Board Chair Peter E.S. Jewett welcomed new members Philip Akin, Dr. Glen Bandiera and Sylvia Bennett to the Board of Directors.

In addition to realizing a financial gain, the Shaw Festival also made strides in cultivating new funding partnerships, while supporting surrounding businesses, during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
