Handel And Haydn Society Presents Two NYC Concerts

In Spring 2019, the internationally renowned, Boston-based, early music champion, the Handel and Haydn Society, returns to New York City for two stunning concerts. These performances, housed in two of New York City's most unique and celebrated concert venues, reflect the Handel and Haydn Society's impeccable consideration for historically-informed concert traditions, immaculate expression of the Renaissance and Baroque philosophies, and characteristic taste and precision of artistry. Under its esteemed artistic director of a decade, Harry Christophers, the 204-year-old ensemble brings the fiercely emotive early opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell to the spectacular Temple of Dendur setting in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Sackler Wing, as well as an all-Vivaldi recital including works for soprano, violin, and viola d'amore at the Morgan Library.

Carollo and Daniel Thomas, Co-Executive Directors) has announced the full cast and creative team for the opening production of its 2018-2019 season, THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS (nominated for seven Tony Awards). THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS features a book by Larry L. King and Peter Masterson, and music and lyrics by Carol Hall. 42nd Street Moon's production runs from October 3 - 21, 2018 and will perform at San Francisco's Gateway Theatre (formerly the Eureka Theatre). Creativity Foundation Legacy Prize Winner To Perform In Jaffrey

New Hampshire can proudly claim bragging rights to one of its own with a Creativity Foundation Legacy Prize winner in 2017, master cellist Andrew Koutroubas. The Monadnock Region will be able to experience Andrew's artistry with an upcoming concert. He will perform at The Park Theatre's River Street Theatre (RST) on Sunday, June 17 at 7:30 pm. The event will be part of The RST Summer Concert Series.

Handel + Haydn Society To Perform Complete Bach Brandenburg Concertos

Could there be a more perfect collection than the six concertos known as the Brandenburgs? The Handel and Haydn Society continues its 2017-18 Season with a program of the Bach Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 1-6 on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at Sanders Theatre in Cambridge, MA followed by performances on Saturday, February 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., both at Jordan Hall in Boston.  Saturday's performance was added to the schedule due to strong popular for the Friday and Sunday performances.

Ain't Misbehavin' runs from October 11-29, 2017 and will perform at the Gateway Theatre (formerly the Eureka Theatre). Due to overwhelming audience response, Cloud 9 Theatricals, in association with Lang Entertainment Group and Ray of Light Theatre, announced today the second and final extension of the San Francisco premiere ofSILENCE! The Musical - the "subversively funny and deliciously tasty" award-winning musical parody of "The Silence of the Lambs." Originally scheduled through Saturday, February 25, tickets are now on-sale through its final performance, Saturday, April 1.  The performance schedule is as follows: Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets range in price from $35- $55 and are available online at www.silencethemusicalsf.comand at the Victoria Theatre box office (2961 16th St.) one-hour prior to performance time. Chianti will be on tap at the theater, but at this time, no fava-beans will be made available for public consumption. Ticket prices are subject to change without notice.
