Spreckels Theatre Company Presents the North Bay Premiere of TITANIC, THE MUSICAL

With a compassionate book, intelligent lyrics and soaring melodies, "Titanic, The Musical" is a powerful, complex look at one of the most historic events of the 20th Century. The critically acclaimed, award-winning Spreckels Theatre Company presents the North Bay premiere of "Titanic, The Musical," which opened on Broadway in 1997 and won five Tony Awards including Best Musical for this factual account of the sinking of the Titanic which examines the causes, conditions, crew and passengers involved in this ever-fascinating drama.

This chamber musical traces the tragic maiden voyage of the historic ocean liner RMS Titanic, recalling stories of ship officers, staff and crew; Second and Third Class passengers; and First Class passengers including prominent and powerful men and women of the period.

Only 10 performances will be presented on Spreckels main stage. Reservations a must.

This main stage production is presented with the new Paradyne projection system, developed by Spreckels Performing Arts Center, combining still images and animations to create multiple backdrop effects - creating a visual aesthetic that's exciting and visually surprising for audiences of the 21st Century.
