SILENCE! THE MUSICAL to Open in San Francisco This January

Cloud 9 Theatricals, in association withLang Entertainment Group and Ray of Light Theatre are proud to present the San Francisco premiere of SILENCE! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of "The Silence of the Lambs," playing a limited engagement at San Francisco's Victoria Theatre (2961 16th Street, San Francisco), Thursday, January 26 through Saturday, February 25, 2017. SILENCE! The Musical tells the story of rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling as she matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter in order to catch the serial killer known as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons-and a troupe of singing and dancing lambs-while racing against the clock to unlock Lecter's clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill.

THESE TREES ARE MADE OF BLOOD, a new play about Argentina's Dirty War, premiered in The Little at Southwark Playhouse in April 2015 to sold out audiences and rave reviews. A limited edition cast recording of the songs from the show was recorded live at Southwark Playhouse on a sunny bank holiday afternoon in April 2015 in between shows and is now available for purchase!

Relaxed Performance of SNOW WHITE at King's Theatre Glasgow to be Held in January

The National Autistic Society Scotland helped launch the Relaxed Performance of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the King's Theatre Glasgow. Families supported by the charity met stars of the panto, Jenny Hayley-Douglas and Des Clarke, ahead of the special performance on Friday 8 January 2016 at 11am.

BWW Reviews: Tarantino Meets Elizabethan England in PULP SHAKESPEARE

The stylistic marriage of Shakespeare's language and Tarantino's Pulp Fiction reaps heady rewards for linguists and lovers of indie crime drama in PULP SHAKESPEARE at Theatre Asylum in Hollywood. The runaway hit of the 2010 Hollywood Fringe Festival is reinventing itself in a new production produced by Matthew Quinn and Aaron Lyons. Originally helmed by Jordan Monsell, this iteration is directed by Amanda McRaven and features three returning major cast members surrounded by a new ensemble of players.

Handel and Haydn Society Opens Bicentennial Season This Weekend

The Handel and Haydn Society (H+H), led by Artistic Director Harry Christophers, opens the 2014-2015 Bicentennial Season on October 10 and 12 with the joyous program, Baroque Fireworks! H+H turns 200. The celebration continues with performances of historically significant works that H+H introduced to American audiences in the 19th century (Handel's Messiah, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Bach's St. Matthew Passion, and Haydn's Creation). The Bicentennial Season culminates in the spring and summer with an interactive exhibit at the Boston Public Library exploring H+H's history, a world premiere work by prominent American composer Gabriela Lena Frank, and a free outdoor performance of Beethoven's epic Ninth Symphony ('Ode to Joy').

Following a sell-out run at Finborough Theatre, where it continues until Saturday 19 April, a new musical adaptation of Emile Zola's classic French novel Therese Raquin will transfer to Park200 at Park Theatre for a limited 4 week run from today 30 July 2014 (press night Tuesday 5 August at 7pm).

Handel and Haydn Society Receives Anonymous $1 Million Gift

The Handel and Haydn Society has received an anonymous gift of $1 million to support long-term priorities, including five-year strategic initiatives, Bicentennial events, and the endowment. This gift, from a donor outside the Board, comes as the organization approaches its Bicentennial in 2015. The funding will also help ensure greater financial strength and health in the organization's future.

Kimberly Faye Greenberg (One Night With Fanny Brice) will star in Beautiful Soup Theater's upcoming American premiere of LIFT. A smash hit at London's SoHo Theatre, LIFT played to sold out crowds earlier this year in a production from Pitch Perfect Musicals. It makes its New York bow in a new production directed by Steven Carl McCasland.
