Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are pleased to present the schedule for the month of February! At Birdland Jazz Club, catch the iconic Lionel Hampton Big Band Featuring Jason Marsalis, current GRAMMY nominee Catherine Russell, the Birdland debut of AGUAS Trio with Omar Sosa, Yilian Cañizares and Gustavo Ovalles, and iconic vocalist Jane Monheit. Internationally recognized trumpeter Rachel Therrien, the Seth Weaver Big Band, and The Voice contestant Melinda Rose Rodriguez will also be performing upstairs. 

Seven months prior to the 2018 Midterm Elections, Cabaret Show Producer, Publicist, and Performer Stephen Hanks launched a variety show series as fundraisers for Democratic Senate, Congress, and State Legislature candidates. The critically acclaimed CABARET CAMPAIGNS: RIDE THE BLUE WAVE 2018! at Don't Tell Mama featured 28 different performers and raised more than $6,000 divided among 30 candidates. Election Day 2018 was indeed a a?oeBlue Wave,a?? as the Democrats flipped 40 seats in Congress.

Vocalist and composer Carolyn German brings her cabaret Unsolicited Advice to Don't Tell Mama, tonight, November 15, at 7pm. Showcasing both her unique song-styling and flair for comedy, Unsolicited Advice features German's own tunes. She is accompanied by Music Director Ian Herman.

With all the spark, wit, and snap that are hallmarks of her performances, vocalist and composer Carolyn German brings her cabaret 'Unsolicited Advice' to Don't Tell Mama, in NYC, November 15, at 7pm. 

A true original continues to stake her claim as one of cabaret's greats with a new show titled DECADENT STANDARDS.

Karen Akers, Julie Gold, Mark Nadler and Steve Ross have joined the elite lineup of ''Baby Jane Dexter: Forever Young: A Celebration in Words & Music'' on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. at St. Peter's Church, 619 Lexington Ave. (at 54th St.), New York City. 

Nicci Nicholas brings her new show, Nothin' Can Be Done, to Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street, on Sunday, September 15th; Friday, October 11th; Wednesday, October 23rd and Tuesday, November 19th, all at 7:00 pm.

Florida Studio Theatre kicks off its 6th Summer Cabaret Series with Come Together: When the 60s Met the 70s, a rockin' revue that explores the changing musical landscape from 1965-1975. Created by audience favorite Carole J. Bufford, Come Together examines one of the most exciting, controversial, and impactful decades in American history. With musical arrangements by Bufford and Ian Herman, Come Together starts June 11 in FST's Court Cabaret. Tickets can be purchased at floridastudiotheatre.org or at (941) 366-9000.

In its 114 year life the Dutch Treat Club has had a membership that included, Jimmy Cagney, George S. Kaufman, Walter Cronkite, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein ll, and Presidents Hoover, Eisenhower, Truman, and Ford. The great Broadway producer George Abbot was a member for 52 years when he died at the age of 107. But enough about the past. This year this historic New York City institution which was founded by and for creative people decided to honor someone young, creative and contemporary, so they chose...Marilyn Maye…an artist for every generation.

Singer Tennie Leonard returns to Don't Tell Mama with her new show, I Love Being Here With You, for three dates, Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday, April 17th at 7pm and Sunday, May 5th at 4pm. The show, with Tennie and her long time collaborators, Director Scott Barnes and Musical Director Ian Herman, is a celebration of survival, life choices and how music makes it all possible.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW presents SHARON McNIGHT in 'RED HOT MAMA', The Sophie Tucker Songbook, for ONE NIGHT ONLY on Thursday, April 18 at 7:00 pm.  RED HOT MAMA is the story of the first lady of show business, the last of the Red Hot Mamas, Sophie Tucker, whose remarkable career spanned sixty years.  It contains the music and history of burlesque, vaudeville, Broadway and Los Vegas in a critically acclaimed one-woman musical biography of the entertainment legend.  The show takes place in the Latin Quarter, New York's premiere supper club of the 40's and 50's owned by Lou Walters, Barbara Walter's father.

Birdland Theater is proud to present singer Carole J. Bufford in 'All By Myself' last night and tonight, November 12 and 13 at 7pm.  Carole J. Bufford returns to the Birdland stage with a concert featuring songs from her first solo album, 'All By Myself.'

The Museum at Eldridge Street, based in Manhattan, is hosting a fundraising Gala tomorrow night, Thursday, November 1st.

Singer Tennie Leonard returns to Don't Tell Mama to reprise her popular show, Here and Now,with three new dates, Tuesday, May 22nd, Wednesday May 30th and Thursday, June 7th. All shows are at 7:30 PM. Here and Now is directed by Scott Barnes, with musical direction by pianist Ian Herman and sound and lighting design by J-P Perreaux.

Singer and actress, Linda Glick, returns to Pangea Restaurant and Supper Club (178 Second Ave, New York City) on Fridays, June 1 and 8 at 7 PM, with her acclaimed and newly revised show, Teach Me Tonight: Part II. Voila! Joining her is Music Director and pianist, Ian Herman, one of cabaret's most sought-after musicians and accompanists.
