Musicals Tonight!'s 20th Anniversary Spring Season opener of Rodgers and Hart's The Boys From Syracuse, begins performances Tuesday, February 13th at The Lion Theatre on Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). The comedy farce about mistaken identity, as adapted by George Abbott, will play a limited engagement through February 25th. The Boys From Syracuse is directed and choreographed by Jonathan Cerullo who has given the musical a fresh new take with men cast in almost all of the female roles for the very first time. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) in association with The Foolish Company has announced the extension of Foolerie a Shakespearean Musical Comedy with book, music, and lyrics by Santino DeAngelo. Before their first performance on July 22nd, brisk ticket sales and sold out shows have prompted an additional performance of Foolerie to be staged on Sunday, July 26th at 4pm.

Prospect Theater Company is pleased to announce additional cast members for its 2015 annual gala, a Concert Evening Celebrating Women Making Musicals. This special one-night-only event will be held at The Times Center today, May 16 with an 8pm concert performance featuring Broadway and Prospect stars. The evening's program includes a diverse array of songs written or co-written by women, including encores of work from Prospect productions. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Prospect's ongoing mission to develop and produce new musical theater works by emerging artists.
