Matt Henry MBE won the 2016 Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Lola in Kinky Boots a?' which also won the Olivier for Best Musical in the same year. The show ran for over 1,400 performances at the Adelphi Theatre, and a special recording will soon be shown in UK and Irish cinemas on 4 and 9 February. Matt recently spoke to BroadwayWorld about returning to the show.

Season. Sossi previously directed the West Coast premiere exactly 50 years ago, in the spring of 1970, as the second production ever at the then brand-new Odyssey Theatre. Cory Becker's debut album, One, came to life in a one-room studio in the dirt floored basement of his Echo Park rental, which he built from ground up. The album embraces the authenticity and experimentation of analog recording - engineering and producing the album himself, he experimented with a variety of techniques and performed nearly every aspect of the album himself, aside from select musical guests he invited to play on select tracks. Despite being Becker's first try at recording and producing everything on his own, he was able to create a unique sonic footprint that encompasses modern indie rock and folk, and the values and traditions of the canon of American roots music.

3-D Theatricals continues its 2019-2020 season with Kinky Boots, winner of six 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical. The production, which will be directed by Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia (Broadway's Avenue Q and Shrek The Musical) and choreographed by Linda Love Simmons (3-D Theatricals' Once The Musical) with musical direction and conducting by Benet Braun (La Mirada Theatre's Grumpy Old Men: The Musical). Kinky Boots will play February 14-March 1 at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (18000 Park Plaza Drive, Cerritos, CA). Opening night is Saturday, February 15.
