Earlier this week, the off-Broadway engagement of the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical, Kinky Boots officially opened at Stage 42. Kinky Boots features 16 original songs by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell. BroadwayWorld was on hand for opening night and we're taking you inside the festivities in this video.

Production photos were released for the New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant).

Barry Edelstein in Conversation with Nathan Englander will cover Englander’s (The Twenty-Seventh Man, For the Relief of Unbearable Urges) career as a prolific and acclaimed playwright and author, and specifically his current production of What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank.

La MaMa ETC’s 61st season will feature world-premieres by John Kelly, Erik Ehn, Elizabeth Swados, Witness Relocation/Dan Safer, Bobbie Jene Smith and Ping Chong, along with the live, in-person stage debut of Split Britches’s 2021 digital production LAST GASP and the first-ever revival of Maria Irene Fornes’ EVELYN BROWN.
