As millions of the faithful around the world light the last candles of their menorahs, we take a look at a handful of musical moments that have a decidedly Jewish flair. On the last night of Hanukkah, we want to celebrate some of our favorite Broadway tunes about the faith while honoring the contributions of our immensely talented Jewish legends who have helped mold the American musical into what it is today. The creative team of RUNNING INTERFERENCE is hosting a MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL fundraiser event tonight, August 10th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at East River Park in Manhattan.

RUNNING INTERFERENCE, an exploration of the personal costs professional athletes pay to play, will receive its world premiere in the 2015 New York International Fringe Festival. Written by Broadway's MAMMA MIA / CBS' 'Blue Bloods' actor Eric William Morris and Yale graduate Ashley Rodbro, both members of musical theater writer Joe Iconis' 'family' of collaborators, RUNNING INTERFERENCE marks Morris and Rodbro's New York writing debut. Performances will begin August 15.

Contemporary musical theatre writer Zack Zadek offers an evening of story-driven synthpop performed by vocalists from Broadway and pop-rock recording artists. Zadek will co-lead a full-piece band with Broadway Orchestrator and Musical Director Charlie Rosen (The Visit, Honeymoon in Vegas, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band). Max Friedman directs. Valerie Novakoff produces.

Joe Iconis and his merry band of musical theater punks were back by popular demand in this seventh annual insane celebration of all things red and green. Featuring brand new holiday songs, old favorites, tiny elves, enormous reindeer, an inebriated Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and an ungodly number of candy canes, it was the happiest holiday hoedown you've ever seen.
