Jason Gotay & More to Join Zack Zadek at 54 Below

By:

Contemporary musical theatre writer Zack Zadek offers an evening of story-driven synthpop performed by vocalists from Broadway and pop-rock recording artists. Zadek will co-lead a full-piece band with Broadway Orchestrator and Musical Director Charlie Rosen (The Visit, Honeymoon in Vegas, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band). Max Friedman directs. Valerie Novakoff produces.

The full line-up includes Jason Gotay (NBC's Peter Pan Live!, Bring It On The Musical), Lauren "Lolo" Pritchard (Spring Awakening, Universal/Island Records), Janet Krupin (If/Then, Hands on a Hardbody), George Salazar (Godspell, Be More Chill), Natalie Weiss (Everyday Rapture), Hannah Elless (Godspell, Bright Star), and Harrison Chad (Caroline, or Change, Peter Pan).

Zadek will lead a full-piece band featuring Music Director Charlie Rosen, Lea Serres, and Ethan Pakchar.

Zack Zadek statement: "In many ways, this 54 Below concert feels like the biggest artistic statement I've made since I started playing in NYC - a true blend of the electronic music that inspires me and defines the bands of my generation, and the musical theatre narratives that I've always been interested in telling. No compromises this time - we're going full drum machine, full synth, and testing the limits of indie music and contemporary musical theatre. It's been almost two years since my last concert - I can't wait to share what I've been working on."

An award winning composer/lyricist, songwriter, performer, and playwright, Zack Zadek has been named by Playbill as "A Contemporary Musical Theatre Songwriter You Should Know" and by Buzzfeed as a writer who "proves why you should give musical theatre another shot". His musicals 6 (NYMF 2012), The Crazy Ones (NY Theatre Barn, NYMF 2013), and The Role of a Lifetime (Produced by William Berlind, Lyrics by Randy Blair) have been seen and developed around the world, from New York City to Edinburgh, Scotland. After playing sold out concerts in NYC at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, Joe's Pub, and The Highline Ballroom - as well as sold out concerts in London and Los Angeles, Zack's next concert in New York will feature some of Broadway's hottest talent, and brand new world premiere songs from his latest projects.

Tickets are available for $25-$60 here (http://54below.com/artist/the-songs-of-zack- zadek/)
