Toronto's Coal Mine Theatre, in association with Eclipse Theatre Company and Kliffer Entertainment, have convened an all-star cast led by Chilina Kennedy for a four-day reading and invitation-only showcase for potential producers and presenters of Ted Dykstra's epic musical EVANGELINE, February 28 at The Actors Temple in New York City.

Veteran performer Philip Hernandez, the only actor in Broadway history to play both Valjean and Javert in "Les Miserables," will headline the 2019 Shakespeare Festival St. Louis production of "Love's Labors Lost," May 31 through June 23, at Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park. Preview performances are scheduled May 29-30. Performances are held nightly, excluding Mondays, and begin at 8 p.m.

Gulfshore Playhouse, Naples' premier professional regional theater, will hold auditions for its summer 2019 Teen Conservatory production of "Les Miserables" on March 3, directed and choreographed by Broadway veteran Becky Timms. 

The Green Room 42 Presents Rachel Ulanet (Broadway's Beauty and The Beast, Lovemusik, and King David) in her solo show, Keep Me Searching, Friday March 1, at 7PM.

T. Fellowship, in association with Columbia University School of the Arts, announces the next T. Fellow is Rachel Sussman, the seventh fellow in the one year program designed to educate and empower new creative producers. The fellow will receive a stipend of $10,000 with a $20,000 budget for the development of a new theatrical production, and will have access to courses in Columbia's MFA Theatre Management & Producing Program.

SWEENEY TOOD is bringing Fleet Street to Ireland at the Lyric Theatre now through February 23rd, 2019. 

Jason Robert Brown's landmark musical Songs for a New World (New York City Center 2018 Encores! Off-Center Cast Recording) is released today, Friday, January 25, in streaming and digital formats, in addition to a two-CD set. This is the show's first recording since the world premiere album over 20 years ago. In the ensuing years, these songs have become staples of contemporary musical theater, including the modern standard "Stars and the Moon." In honor of 31 years of The Phantom of the Opera giving us the music of the night, we're throwing it back to 2011 when the show celebrated its 23rd anniversary at the Majestic Theatre!

Producers Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group have announced that Broadway's blockbuster phenomenon, Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince, will continue making history with two upcoming milestones. The musical will first celebrate its 31st Anniversary this Saturday, January 26, 2019. The production is next on track to reach an unprecedented 13,000 performances in April. Both are feats achieved by no other Broadway show.

Jason Robert Brown's next big musical project is on its way to the stage!According to an Equity casting notice, his adaptation of the 1993 film Farewell My Concubine will get a staged reading February 11-15. The project, which features a book by Kenneth Lin, will receive direction by Moises Kaufman and musical direction by Thomas Murray.

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish ended its run at the Museum of Jewish Heritage yesterday, December 30. To conclude the run, Joel Grey, who directed the acclaimed production, took an evocative New Year's Eve shot of the cast standing with the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island in the distance.
